Switch

What switch are you use guys using? I have bought several switches from several DIY ecig suppliers and the switches don't last. Even the ones rated at several amps. What's a good switch to buy. A digikey part number would be great.

Don't have a digikey part no. Just use an off the shelf spst no .5A 120V switch. I've got a bunch of them sitting around from other projects.

I don't have a lot of experience with PV mods(just finished my second), but have done alot of mods on playstations, psp, and xbox. Momentary switches just fail sometimes. My suggestion would be to build your mods so that you can replace your switch if needed. Also, radioshack switches just plain suck IMO.

I have been using the Radio Shack, SPST 0.5-Amp Momentary Switch Model: 275-1571 for 2 months in me and my wife's flashlight mod. No problems yet, as I heard that these switches would fail because of the 510 amp draw. My mod uses a single 16340 3.7v battery. Seems like a good readily available switch for mods that don't have much space (it's pretty small).

freqflyer or anyone, on average how long does your switch last?
