I was about to ask the same thing! Built my first RDA and the only way i can see so far is to vape to the point where its almost pure cotton, then re drip a new juice.. but they slightly mix. They dont mix as much as a clearo without cleaning but still. No one likes bacon banana kiwi tobacco.

I'll try it! This stuff's too expensive to let it waste!

actually i got a dab of grape, some watermellon (bleah), some apple, some capuchino; i'd got some orange too but then discovered it is 'orange mint', so no, I ain't gonna add that in a hurry.

and my main bottle is just vg+10%water which I just dump some of that in there if I want to tone down the taste.

Hello all,

Just picked up my first rda and love it so far. Was wondering what alternatives are there when switching ejuices instead of re wicking? Is there any difference?

all input appreciated.

thanks

Couple of different ways to go about it. You can wick with a material that can handle a dry-burn, such as silica (easy) or stainless steel mesh (more difficult but way better flavor). Drip, vape, dry-burn to get rid of flavors, and repeat. I have a mesh setup in an igo-l RDA just for flavor testing and it works great.

Or there's the tried-and-true method, just drip right on top of the last flavor :) You'll get some mixing of course, but hey, maybe you'll find a combination you like!

I don't switch flavors often. However, if you vape some flavor, then switch to unflavored to flush it, then switch to a new flavor. Hey, it could work.

This is what I do as well. Or I will blow into the RDA and burn off as much as I can of the old flavor without taking a wicked dry hit. drop a little straight pg or vg whichever is handy vape vape vape. Then add new flavor.

I switch a lot between tobacco's and bakery so this is generally not needed. as they are complimentary flavors. Tried a vanilla rose liquid one time that was awful. I had to clean the RDA with denture tablets to get rid of that funk, recoil, and wick.

to ecf PBHUSKY. So glad to have you here. Just a wonderful place as far as I am concerned. Most of the flavors I vape pretty much compliment each other but one way is to make or buy some unflavored ejuice and drip it until the flavor has cleared out of the RDA and then refill with the new one. This is also how I discovered that I enjoyed the taste of flavorless. And it is very easy to just add flavorings to. ECF has some great threads on DIY when you are interested. Not only is it economical but it is also fun and rewarding. Good luck to you and happy vaping.

What the others said, but it also depends to an extent on what you're using as a wicking material too, as some of them hold onto flavors bits much longer than others. I generally don't bother for personal use unless it's really different or I'm going from something heavy to something light which would be highly masked, or menthol gets involved. You really can find some interesting flavor combinations this way though, especially with dual coils. Peanut on one coil and banana on the other can be mmmm.
