Hello folks and welcome back for today's review of the SX Mini SL Class V2 Mod from Yihi. This device was sent to me frome the nice folks at Sourcemore with a coupon code for anyone wishing to purchase this mod from them for $44.89 CODE is SLV2. This is a full featured device having many bells and whistles including TC and power curves as well as voltage mode. This single battery device can be powered using either a 21700, 20700 or 18650 battery with a battery adapter supplied inside the mod. Maximum power output using a 21700 or 20700 battery is 100 watts and 80 watts using a 18650 battery. I only vape in wattage mode so I won't be covering TC or Power Curve values but I will include pictures of their menu selections. There are 3 preset curves ( Soft - Neutral - Strong ) and 3 curves that you can set up to your preference.

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I was a bit worried because the shipping company wasn't gentle with this package having a corner of the package smashed but after opening the contents were fine, Packaging was simple with a sealed slide out box from a outside cover. Opening the box showed all pieces in their own location, I knew this would be a looker but it exceeded my expectations. Something hardly ever seen as of the past few years are charging cords with some length to them the package has a nice longer one included.
The 18650 battery adaptor is stored inside the battery tube, removing the bottom battery cap to remove the tube I found the threads to be fine having no crunch to them.

As shown in the picture above there is no positive symbol mark inside the battery tube but there is a negative symbol inside the battery cap, no big deal as long as there is 1 polarity symbol.

Yihi put 6 battery ventilation holes on the battery cap in case of thermal runaway, the outer circumference of the cap is raised to allow gases to escape. The device sits flush with no wobble when standing upright.

Looking at the front of the device you will notice that the device uses a joystick for most adjustments, it protrudes very little and I don't see it getting hung up on clothing as the earlier model did. I really like the shape of the fire button and that it's slightly brushed look.

The spine of the device has the bold SX mini plate that adds some flair to the appearance, the ornately detailed spine does have a texture that's somewhat rough aiding with the grip.

Turning the attention to the top plate that sits above the device not being flush to it you can see that it's capable of supporting up to a 27mm atomizer before overhang occurs. The 510 pin is really stiff but has a good amount of travel, every atomizer I installed sat flush to the top cap.

Sadly I'm not very organized with my vape gear and wasn't going to go through the many bins to find a 27mm atomizer that would fit the top cap entirely. I used 3 atomizers in my current rotation.

Hand fitment is really good and I like that it has some heft to it, not heavy but you know by feel that it's built strong. The fire button feels good and it's responsive as well as the joystick control.

As I mentioned in the opening of this review I don't vape in Temperature Control nor do I use Power Curves but I did try the 3 preset curves and didn't notice a dramatic difference between them but I'm not a curve user.

There are 20 adjustment bars that give you a very wide range to adjust your own curves from the 3 manual selections of power curves. The screen layout is very good but I wish the fonts were slightly larger for my aging eyes.

I will leave the instructions from the manual to make adjustments along with some screen shots from the different options in the menu.

    FINAL IMPRESSIONS

I am thrilled with the SX Mini SL V2 for many reasons with the performance being great, I never had the device fail to fire and in my opinion it's a very attractive mod. Since I only vape in wattage mode I can't tell you how well it performs using TC but Yihi is known for being a great company that tweaks TC to perfection.

Having 20 bars to build your power curves seems like you can really dial in the specific vape that many are looking for, in wattage mode it performs very well and I recommend it 100%.

The little details like having a brushed metal fire button adds to the beauty of this fine device. I would like to thank Sourcemore for sending it as well as thanking all of you that read my reviews.

    THANK YOU

That's a great price, did you pick one up?
    *sigh* Yes.
i so don't need another mod. But i don't have any of the high-end ones (Dicodes, DNA, Yihi) and, at that relatively low price, i couldn't resist.
i'll really be POed if it's not all it's cracked up to be, especially w/ SS TC.

Yihi chips are very good for TC, let me know what your findings are when you receive it.
