SX Mini v2.32; Temp Compensation?

I can't find any explanation of this setting. When locking the coil resistance, I often get a screen for Temperature Compensation. Default is 25 degrees C. But I've no idea what this is for.
I'd really appreciate a clue.

It's so you can set your room temperature to compensate!
