SX Mini

Does anyone have any insight on when the battery tube is going to hit the market for the sx mini? Also has anyone come across a protective sleeve or cover?

Not sure about the tube as I wasn't impressed with it but there are several J-Wraps available for the SX Mini www.jwraps.com

I kinda like the croc skin one - interesting, now that my mini has proven to be one hell of a work horse, I'm getting to the point of wanting to disguise the many dings and scratches all over it. How tuff are those wraps?

I figure my sx mini has come out on top with one battery. If the extension tube is affordable it is worth it to see what it can do with two. Also mine is so far scuff, scratch, dent, and ding free. The probability of it staying that way is minimal. After seeing the quality I am sure it can handle some abuse! But I want to only drop that kind of money on a mod once not 2 or more times because I was too cheap to protect my investment. But back to the battery tube as ridicules as it looks I still want it. Is there something that works an aftermarket or a tube off of another device with the same threading that will work? I don't really care about the looks. It is all about performance and I don't plan on the battery tube being a part of my out and about gear.

Yihi had posted a picture of it, I don't know if it will make it to market in any quantity though. Looks like that form factor would be not in their best interest to produce. They may have a dual battery mod out at some point. It seems like the market could bare it. If not them, I'm sure another mod maker will be picking this up and produce them when the new TC chips start rolling out. The SXMini by Yihi could be just the platform model of what they want other modders to do with their chips, just like Evolve is doing with theirs. .
