Hey all -- I'm a tech and do a lot of driving. I usually use a rugged mod and a Steamcrave plus tank with a 15ml bubble glass on long trips so I can get where I am going without having to change batteries or refill the tank.

I was passing through a mountainous area with some very steep inclines and declines and my tank leaked all over the place. It has happened more than once.

I never really thought about it but I guess changes like that affect it. I'm a tech not a scientist so I guess there is some theory behind it?

Yep, what he said. ^

Your tank is supposed to be airtight. So what little air is inside of it will start to "spread out," or become less dense as your altitude increases. That takes more room in your tank, which you don't have because it is airtight, so it forces juice out. Same as in airplanes, depending on what they have the cabin pressure set at.

I used to commute over a huge elevation increase and near the top my tank would leak out every time. Had to turn it upside down in my cupholder when I was half way up and then I'd put it back on my mod and start vaping again when I was halfway down. Worked great, no leaks.

We live up high, going anywhere out of the area is a 2,000-7,000' drop/gain. Then there is flying. 1,500' gain and I vape all the way up to avoid flooding. On flights, I fill the tank, empty it before takeoff, at altitude and land with no problems upon landing. A big plus after after (seemingly long) a flight. :w00t: :D

Yet another reason to use a squonk mod & RDA rather than a tank. :D

But if you insist on using tanks, keeping them upside-down will allow the pressure to equalize without pushing the liquid out.

Took me years to get where I am at -- RTA's mostly and such. I've thought of giving squonking a try.

    .. a 15ml bubble glass ..

Wow! 15mls. It'd take me close to at least 2 weeks to vape thru that. I'd have to change my batt. first! I usually fill a 3.5 ml bubble tank 3 or 4 times before I have to put in a new battery!

Guess I vape a lot, huh. Was a former heavy smoker. Quit 8+ years ago from day 1 of vaping. I am on low nic. On a normal workday -- I work long days -- I go through the tank. Many times I do refill it but not empty it the second time around.
Actually, since I started using a bigger tank I seem to go through less juice.
I am happy -- works for me!

That's what important. While I could make a pack last me close to a week, I usually was closer to a PAD. I'm sure we have vastly different vaping styles too. I was just making an off topic comment, and not trying to say anything like, "Whoa, you vape too much!"

Just keep on keepin' on Chellie. :)
