T2 and EVOD questions

Hello, all.
So I I've been using both these tanks for a while now and I have some questions, mainly about the T2. I'm vaping off a standard eGo battery (budPro branded from Puresmoker, to be exact) and using 1.8 wicks. Problem is, I'm getting inconsistent results constantly. When I first got the T2, the first couple wicks lasted me at least two weeks or so and it was a great vape. Lately, however, every wick I've tried starts to hit very harshly after just a day or so (or less).
I've learned a few tricks to help it along: opening the top and 'stirring' the wick around a bit seems to help for a little while, as does blowing into the top once in a while. Inevitably, tho, the problem returns fairly quickly. I've gone thru four wicks in just over a week, and even bought a new T2 at the same time just to be sure I didn't have a bad unit. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas how to fix this issue? I bought an EVOD the other day too compare it and I do like it a lot, but I love the capacity of the T2; it's the perfect size for me to fill up and get me through the work day.

As for my EVOD question: how often do you need to change the coil? I haven't bought any replacements yet, but I was wondering what the average lifespan is. It's a great little tank, just wish it was larger.

By harsh I mean sort of...well not really burnt, but definitely a little sting-y. It doesn't feel like a dry wick hit, it's just noticeably hotter and harsher on the throat. Then, once I fiddle with it, shake it, or blow into it, it's smooth as silk again, so it's not a heat issue. It does it when it's been sitting for a while sometimes, too. No idea why. Thanks for the EVOD tip!

1.8 might be a tad too hot for a 3.7 battery. Try a 2.2 - and maybe get an ohm meter just to see if your heads are indeed what they claim to be - i've had various read outs on what I "thought" were 2.4's reading at 2.8 or 2.9! (which is too cool). Also you might want to order some more replacement heads - could just be a QC issue.

I also use a T2 (Halo Triton) and had the same issue. I swapped the coil for a new one, and it didn't go away (I use 2.2 Ohm). I switched juice to something much milder (less throat hit) and the effect is gone.

I suspect that this is a subjective effect, and that I should try a coil with more resistance. I'll report here once I get the new coils.

I really don't want to go to a higher resistance, I love the hit that a 1.8 gives me. At this point, I'm wondering if my aging batteries might be the issue. Both the ones I have are over 6 months old and I've read that some eGo batteries just don't live that long, especially with how much wear I put on them.so maybe they're just not putting out the power they used to.

Just ordered 2 new ones from fasttech tonight...my first purchase from them. I'm assuming they're clone batteries, but they seem to have good reviews, so we'll see how they work when I get them.

I also would have ordered some replacement T2 wicks from them, but they didn't have any in less than 2.4 ohms. Oh well, I can always grab them at the local B&M...
