What am I doing wrong? No matter what I set my Vision Spinner at (past 3.8) it burns my wick :( I tried my 2.5 ohm heads and my 1.8 ohm heads... help a noooob out please? Well not super new. Felt like I was successful til now. I baby my heads. I rinse em, changed all to cotton and was fine for a while. Not so much now. I'm ordwring new heads today cuz just maybe the ones I have been rotating for the last month are just tired. Hard to believe since I have about 12 maybe 16 heads in the rotation....

Sounds more like a wicking issue... or lack of wicking issue. If you're using cotton, and it's not good and wet 100% of the time, it will burn in the blink of an eye. Quick test... switch back to silica and see what happens. Maybe your cotton is too tight... it can swell up can choke itself off.
Ok. I'll try that. I usually 'prepare' my wick by putting a few drops on the head itself before screwing the base onto the clearo and that always helped....

You don't say if it's happening right away, or after a few drags... so if it takes awhile, then I'm still leaning into the too tight theory - if it's right away, even after being primed... maybe the cotton isn't as absorbing as you think it is, or again, too tight and it's not getting inside the coil.
Just edu-ma-cated guesses on my part - without your "test & observe" - they don't mean much. :p

You got it!!! Not too tight but was definetly wicking not coil issue! Yay! What happened was I changed the number of strands of cotton (up by 2, too many) than I had originally been using. Trying to get all my heads re-wicked quickly I forgot to remove the 2 extra strads while putting em together... I was baffled thinking I had used the same method that worked almost flawlessly for a month-You jogged my thought process perfectly and the light came on! It is fixed! :) happy vaper once again.
I enjoy tinkering to a point and once I find a way that works well and saves $, I wanna stick to it. At least until my vaping budget grows a little so I can then learn to rebuild for real ;)
Thanks again for your help- HAPPY vaping FRIEND!
