Howdy folks! I searched, but found no thread dedicated to the original Taifun GS. I just dug mine out for a revisit, and thought I'd share.

It is my humble opinion that this is the most aesthetically pleasing atty made to date. I love the design.

My build consists of (currently...) a 3 wrap coil of #26 Kanthal, 3mm ID for about .65Ω resistance. I wick with rayon, with an inverted bow-tie trim. Shoulders are on the bottom the body with the 'tail' at the top. This seems to hold the juice up off the deck better that just wadding it up on the sides. I pull a few fibers down and around the wick from the top to the deck to siphon any juice that gathers around the airhole. I pulled the restrictor for better draw, but it is still pretty tight, perfect for an old MTL guy like me.

I cut my feeders straws from 500 mesh, 15mm x 34mm this time around. I'll go to 15 x 40 next round for a little tighter fit. I torched lightly to burn off any oils from the manufacturer, and rolled them around the shank of a medium safety pin. The tiny hole down the center allows air to bubble up and equalise the tank pressure without flooding (65PG/35VG).

That's what works for me, jump in and share your experiences with this little wonder. I'm hoping to hear from @HauntedMyst, I know you have knowledge to share!
