okay I have been trying to figure out which is best clone Taifun GT or kayfun lite (Clone kayfun lite).I have watched a bunch of videos and leaning towards the taifun GT clone as it seems the best way to go to be able to change juice or a coil without having to empty all the juice. I have read a bunch of post about hcigar are better..If I can build a coil for a protank 2 should I have issues building for one of these? What would be better the Taifun GT or kayfun as in build wise and which leaks more? I have a provari also..Just got that a few months ago. Would like to buy the original but not in my expense account yet..

So it wouldn't look good on a provari?
It may look slightly top-heavy. The Provari is 22mm in diameter.

I can't speak for the Taifun; don't own one and never seen one. I do have an authentic KFL+ and love it. I have had rare leaking of juice from the air hole when the juice level gets to almost empty, but I've been told that this is normal. The KFL+ uses vacuum/negative pressure to wick the juice to the vaporizing chamber, so a low level of juice upsets the negative pressure. I just make sure that the juice level doesn't drop low.

The KFL+ is extremely easy to build and use. Much simpler and better performing than my genesis-style RBA's. I highly recommend one. I'm using a 1.3 ohm microcoil of 30g Kanthal and organic cotton for use on both my Provari and mech mod. I'm currently on week 6 using the same coil (dry burn with each wick change) and generally get a week with each cotton wick. Re-wicking and refilling the tank takes only 5 minutes.

You'll want to get the beauty ring from Provape or beauty ring from Cigtech by Tatroe Mods for the flush look.

I have no experience with the Taifun except to watch people struggling to build the wicks and coils for it. The Kayfun is a snap to do in comparison, IMO.

I have watched videos on both and the taifun seems just as easy as they kayfun, I like the taifun as you can fill it without taking it apart and just change the coil with easy and the cotton..so will wait and see what others are also saying and then decide.

You don't have to take the KFL+ apart to fill it. I use the juice fill hole at the bottom using a needle/syringe or a needle-nosed juice bottle.

If you must remove the wick (or coil), its a simple process of draining the tank with needle syringe, again via the juice fill hole. If this was me, I wouldn't let that factor into my decision making process.

I have a Taifun GT and simply don't like it that much, even after multiple rebuilds. I rarely run in to situations where I need to mess with coils or change wicks mid-tank, and even in those rare cases, a syringe works just fine. To me, being able to mess with coils and wicks without taking the juice from the tank isn't a great selling point. Even if you were to remove a partially filled tank to take a peek at the deck, it's a juicy mess that generally requires I rinse the deck off anyways. My Taifun just sits.

I'm a Kayfun man, and will stay that way as far as RTA are concerned. It's easier to build on the deck, and for me is a better system. They can be nano-ized with an inexpensive drop kit for those stealth occasions or just because you like a smaller profile atty, and there are various after market accessories like top caps, clear kits, and glass tanks (though I'm not sure the various implementations of the glass kits are where they need to be as of yet). I would choose an EHPro KFL+ v2 (or 3 if you can find it).

If you don't mind a larger yet easier to fill Kayfun (you don't even need to take the atty off of your MOD, go with the Hcigar KF 3.1 clone.

Taifun GT for me too. I really like not needing a screwdriver to refill, and not having to drain the tank to rewick. It's really easy to coil, and easy to wick. It's also a very quiet atomiser and I guess that's why I like it so much. It makes practically no noise at all when vaping. There's no infernal whistling noise, crackling, popping or any of that.

So the TGT is great - That said, the TGT is less tolerant of wicking errors, and at first you may make mistakes and the thing might flood, or you'll get dry hits. Then you learn how much to pack into the wick holes, and your 2nd build will be better. By the 3rd build you should have ironed it out and be putting perfect builds in there time after time. Great flavour and vapour.
The TGT isn't pressure driven like the Kayfun. Wicking occurs because the chamber in the TGT has 2 holes from which you must make your wicking material enter the main tank. It is this fact that makes it critical to wick correctly, because too little wick will result in a flood.

There isn't much between the TGT and Kayfun in terms of vape quality. A good build in the TGT is slightly nicer than a Kayfun in my personal opinion. TGT just edges it for me, but YYMV. I still love my Kayfuns. I love how forgiving the Kayfun is. You can make messy coils and slap some wick in there somewhere and still get a great vape.
