Well just did my first build on my Taifun GT clone that has been sitting here in the box for a few weeks. I wish I wouldn't have waited!

I built the coil with 28ga Kanthal 9 wraps. Came out to 1.3 ohms. I used organic cotton for the wick.

On the Provari at 4.2 volts this thing hits like a freight train. I filled it with my all day vape, which is a light tobacco flavor. In my nautilus, and AeroTank it really is not a strong flavor but good, and still an excellent vape. In the Taifun it is a totally different flavor, rich and sweet and spectacular! Also I am at 18mg Nicotine, and after a couple of hits I get a little dizziness. Which never happens on my other tanks.

I am really impressed with this topper! I bought it from Focalecig, was like $25 shipped, and took about 3 weeks to get here. It is a 1:1 clone and the build quality is really nice.

Taifun GT has a super smooth draw for me, it just feels perfect.

I've gotta admit though, I also got The Dripper attachment and have been using that almost exclusively. I couldn't get a good hit with the side air, so that's blocked and I am just using the bottom air hole. I think bottom air hole drippers are where it's at for me, currently looking at a few others.

The Taifun is perfect because the air hole protrudes from the base hardly ever get any blockage if I over drip.

I absolutely do love the tank though, I only fill it up about once a week though.

Hmm, recently received the TGT FT clone, not feeling the love quite yet. Having wicking issues. Seems to wick ok at 20 watts, but dial it up to 30 and it can't keep up. On my 3rd build, which is showing the most promise. .9 ohm coil around an SS mesh wick with a hemp fiber core. Wick seems to be seasoning a bit so hopefully by time I have to refill, it will improve. Draw was a bit tight for me so I pulled out the center air tube to get more air flow, seems about right now. Have the same juice in my Russian so I could compare the two, so far the Russian is kicking its asz, but then I have had 5 months of builds to perfect my Russian. Hopefully performance will improve and will keep the TGT in my daily rotation.

Right on! The Taifun GT clone is an incredible bang for the buck, less than $20 apiece from FT or 25-30 elsewhere and it outperforms just about everything else ive used in flavor, vapor production, ease of build, ease of refilling, and it holds a ton of juice. Ive been through tons of genny's (i still own an Ihybrid F3cta, which is definitely the best genesis atty ive ever used, but now my girlfriend uses it more than i do), a few foggers, kayfuns... And now i use 4 Taifun GT clones in rotation. Ive been using these 4 since the beginning of this year, and have had few issues. I built a single 7/8 wrap of 28ga (.73 ohm) in each and havent had to rebuild any of them yet, they all heat up CRAZY fast and give a fantastic vape. Every week or so i just rinse the tank out and put a fresh piece of boiled organic cotton in, and every 2-3 weeks i give them all a thorough cleaning (dry burning and wiping the coils thoroughly helps a lot with flavor, when you use the same tank for so long its hard to notice the gradual drop in flavor and vapor but it is pretty significant) and when i get them back together its nothing but happy vaping. I wrap my coils around a 5/64 drillbit or a 14ga blunt syringe tip. Only problems ive had are with the upper chimney on 1 of them (it popped out.. Its not supposed to. So it just started leaking on me. Im thinking of gluing it back in or something..) And with the tank that i put Pluid in (yes, these atomizers can even withstand pluid!) The juice just caused a few o-rings to expand. Replaced the o-rings on that one with the o-ring kit sold on the site that sells the real Taifun and it's good to go.
If i can offer an opinion: to anyone who was on the fence about these, or are looking for a good working bottom coil RBA that doesn't leak, or are fed up with the Kayfun/Russian, try the Taifun!
This tank ROCKS

I have to agree with the above. The Taifun GT is pretty awesome. I bought one for my girlfriend that hated the idea of using a screwdriver like on my Kayfun. Now I want to steal it from her lol

However, I HAVE found that it's a "cooler" vape. Thicker and more flavorful than most, but also lower temperature. Not sure why this would be, but I don't mind it.
