ETA: Request relating to FSUSA drip tips

I've never been keen on the concept of dripping, as it sounds fiddly and time consuming. As most of you know, I'm about to switch to cartomisers, and they don't sound like a great way to try new flavours, or use for juice I only vape occasionally.

So I thought I'd ask more about this dripping thing. Do you do it? Does it work for you? How and when do you do it? I've noticed FSUSA have drip tips for the ego, so I've thrown one in my cart. So when it comes, what the hell do I do with it???

Thanks gang!

LOL...you drip into it Silly! :) I don't care for dripping normally but it is a good way to try out flavors... you just drip a few drops directly on the bridge of the atty.. and vape. The drip tip has a larger hole at the tail end so you can drip right through the tip onto the bridge of the atty. Great for trying flavors...a real pain for everyday use..IMO! Some folks love it and do nothing else..

I love dripping, I do it with a 510 and new debridged atty, I got from FSUSA, recently. With 510 you just drop up to 3 drops in the atty, and start vaping. It is the strongest flavor for me with the most TH. Now more than 3 drops, because it will leak out of the 510, don't know about an Ego. # drops will last for about 20 hits. Then you can add more drops or change flavors. It is an easy way to switch between flavors, You can tell when you will have to add more drops because the vapor starts to die down. You use the drip tip instead of a cart. You can either drip directly into the tip or remove the top and add juice. I like to remove the tip because if you leave it on and drip into it some of the juice goes in your mouth, less chance by removing it. I drip most places I go, if i can. If not I use the 510-Tank. I am looking to upgrade to a REO soon though. They look really good, and i am very interested.

I "think" when buying a Reo bottom feeder mod, its "automatic" dripping is my understanding (I just bought one, but dont have it yet).

I'm a big fan of eGo tanks & finally learned how not to wreck the atty, lol (I'm on the same tank atty since 5/26/11).

But I'm getting the Reo mainly to have something that doesn't remotely look like a cigarette, so people don't bother me.

So pwis, would you recommend the debridged atties? I notice FSUSA will do that for you if you ask nicely...

Yes, i ordered one in the last shipment I got and I live it, the juice drip directly into the atty, I have used both types and feel i get the strongest vape from the debridged.

I started on cartomizers but wanted to try a few new flavors when I'm home, so I got a couple atomizers. I ended up debridging the atomizer to get consistent flavor as most of them have a small thread wick under the bridge which gets a burned flavor, and the bridge is there primarily to serve cartridges, which I don't use. Dripping directly on the atomzer coil, no more than 3 drops on a 510, produces clean rich flavor.

The rest of the time(daylight) I keep a couple cartos full of my go to menthol and a couple of flavors of the moment. I find that topping off cartos with similar flavors allows for a reasonable flavor change, like from vanilla to blueberry muffin to apple pie.

Drip tips for me are just to make it easier to pop off without tools and feels good to puff on. Dripping through the small hole will leave juice which I don't want to drink!

I guess if you find your handful of favorite flavors you can just maintain a set of filled cartos for them, but it seems the craving to try that next juice everyone's raving about or a great sample deal keeps us looking for the perfect vape...

Elphaba, Dripping is good because you can change flavors at will, and if you dont like it...pretty much blow out most the juice and add something else. It's very easy.
I like to drip flavors when I'm just hanging out and trying out samples of flavors.
When I'm serious about vaping...I load up a cartomizer - more of a commitment than dripping.
I use driptips for all my cartomizers as well as atty's that I drip on.
For cartomizers - the drip tips make it easier to pop 'em off and add more juice. Plus...I have specific color drip tips for different flavors, so that I always know whats in the cartomizer...(green for New/port...Black for Wyatt Earp...Red for peppermint etc...).
I've become a drip tip addict, and have a bunch of different ones from all different sources!

OMG! you are too organized techno! I would never remember which color was for what!! ;) I have a simple mind, what can I say!! :)

I'm really not too organized. I just kept forgetting what was in all my cartomizers and got tired of getting a shock of flavor that I didn't expect! Plus, I'm a bit OCD and collecting cute little drip tips seemed like fun... I "try" to make the color of the tip sort of match up to the flavor...

Well, I tried that there dripping business, but found out real quick I was unable to do it.

You see, I was only born with two arms and two hands. For dripping it quickly became apparent that you really need a minimum of three or you can't do it.

And talk about mess!!! I had that juice in my hair, all over my face, in my right ear and some ran into my left eye which left me bawling like a baby.

You gotta take the cap off the juice, then take the drip tip off the atty because if you don't you get straight juice in your mouth. Drip an unknown quantity of juice into the atty (its never the right amount) take two drags and hit the major UGH taste and by now juice is dripping off your right elbow, your blind in one eye, can't hear and your hair is glued to your head and people look at you funny.

You need one hand to hold the bottle cap, one hand to hold the juice bottle, one hand to hold the atty, you can pull out the drip tip with your teeth and your eGo you can stick between your knees while you try to hit the atty with the juice.

I was trying to do all this while driving my Ford 350 pick up truck in Houston traffic and was steering with my left knee and I didn't run into those people but I sure got their attention. Finally get everything put back together and take two puffs and back to the UGH taste and start all over again.

I guess dripping would be real nice if you had enough people immediately available to help with all this, but I'd have to round up all my neighbors to help and I don't have any neighbors out here in the country.

So I don't drip.

I haven't really dived into dripping much, love my cartos too much, lol. But I do use it for testing flavors out before filling a whole carto. It's real easy for me to label my cartos with these little rubberbands (snatched from my daughter) who got a huge bag at the dollar store. Would be nice for more colors, but it will do, keeps me from guessing what is filled in it when I put a rubberband on the botttle too.
Good subject though on this, since I have no idea about atty's that are bridged or unbridged and what the difference is.
