Anyone know what it is that will break down the polypropylene tanks? Or even better, anyone know the acidity level of the liquids that bust them?

Curious minds...

here's a list, but I think it's a little paranoid: A List Of Juice Known To Crack Up and Jack Up Tanks - Electronic Cigarette Forums - Ecig Advanced

there's thread here on ecf somewhere dealing with the same subject. My understanding is that it's all about acidity but don't ask me to be too specific. The big problem is polyCARBonate, not poly propylene. It's mostly the cheap, clear tank material that is problematic. If your tank is semi-opaque, like the standard DCT, I think you're pretty safe. My only experience in history was a Kanger T3 that got cloudy after using Tasty Vapor Licorice in it.

The biggest complaints always seem to center around super strong cinnamon.

nice avatar...don't do it!...I always like it when members use their actual picture.

Heh, thanks! I'd comment on the avatar, but it would be taken completely outside of the way I intend it, and someone would undoubtedly take offense.

I haven't had much luck yet finding which acids (or what pH levels) will cause problems. Perhaps I should ask what the most corrosive juice is and order a bottle :D

And thanks for the correction on polycarbonate vs polypropylene. Too much research!

Yes, it is the clear plastic polycarbonate that is vulnerable to the tank-busting flavors. Polypropylene plastic (frosted) and pyrex are safe materials.

I've written an article that lists the flavors known to crack/melt tanks and clearomizers (including vivi nova's), include a video of a tank actually melting and cracking with one of these flavors, and a photo gallery of juice delivery devices that are safe to use with these flavors:
