So if anyone read my last thread about buying a new tank I was going to just get an evod glass for my evod 650. Well I just bought an istick 20w. Heard they work amazing with the aspire nautilus mini. I was about to get it but saw it was only 2ml, which isn't bad, but thought maybe I could find something in 3ml area. Found out the full size nautilus will hang over the edge of the istick. After some more looking I have limited to these 3 tanks:

-Aspire Nautilus Mini (plus a metal sleeve to protect it) ($20, + $8)
-Kangertech Aerotank Mow Mega ($20)
-Aspire Vivo Nova-S ($9)

I really like the kangertech mow mega cuz of the bigger capacity but not as tall as the nautilus mini and has the metal protective cover built in and don't need to buy it separate like on the nautilus, but the nautilus you can replace the glass, which is nice. Looks like the nova-s is in between the other two, but know even less about that one.

I hear aspire coils are much better than Kanger, but if that's opinion or not.

Anyone have any experience using the last two tanks mentioned with the istick or at all for that matter?

Hi infamshxr. I would suggest the Nautilus just because I had a few of them and loved the quality of vape. The other recommendation is If I were you I would get a 510 adapter ($5) and screw it on top of the iStick 20 watt and leave it there. The iStick 20 watt has brass threads and the screwing on and off of 510 connected tanks has been known to cause issues with wear. (unless they have fixed this issue with stainless threads, as they fixed it in the 30w models)

Good luck in your vape journey.

As an electronics guy, I'm usually loathe to suggest or support the addition of anything within the electrical circuit, but this is one of the exceptions. This suggestion just makes good sense and prolongs the life of the device overall. The very small decrease in efficiency of the circuit is well worth the protection of the threads because the device is completely useless if you can't get an atty to stay on top of it!

Great suggestion, @Sir2fyablyNutz !!

Another +1 for the Mini Nautilus. It will do great on the iStick 20 watt.

The iStick 20 watt also has a few problems with regard to it's circuitry (it measures mean not RMS). It is not capable of down regulating power (it is widely inaccurate, especially at lower voltages). As long as you're aware of it and don't need a battery that can output voltages between 3v and 4.2 volts, you may like it.

The Nautilus can handle this. Mine run great on the iStick 20 watt.

Just thought of something. If I put the 510 adapter on the istick, won't the nautilus then not fit since the adapter changes it to ego threads? Or am I missing something? Also, how would the Aerotank Mow Mega or subtank nano @ 1.2ohm compare to the nautilus? Heard good things about the nano and I like the large tank on the Aerotank Mow Mega.

The Nautilus mini is a good little tank. One tank lasted me over half a day. The coils don't really eat up juice. Man, I miss that. I blow through 6 or 8ml a day now with drippers and rtas.. Stay small and save money lol

So the nautilus will be better on juice than the Aerotank Mow Mega? I vape about 2-4ml a day with my standard evod currently.

The ego adapters also have a 510 in the inside. I actually used one on my 20 watt so I could use a beauty ring. This will keep your threads from wearing out on the 20w since you'll be unscrewing it less.

I used a vivi-nova s with the bvc coils for months. I like it, but just be ready for it to flood. Finicky tank for me, but the rainbow one looked great on the pink istick 20w.

I would still go for the nautilus mini with the adapter/beauty ring.

Well just cancelled my order for the 20w cuz I found the 30w for the same price. Silly me lol. Sounds like the 30w solved most the issues that the 20w had plus it's the same size and the top was changed slightly to accomodate larger tanks. Gotta do some more research now and see if the nautilus is still my best bet or if I should look into other options that could be possibly better.

Thanks for clearing that up. Makes much more sense now.

Glad to hear. I really like the look of the mega and having a 3ml capacity plus the protection of the stainless steel body around the glass is huge perk. Do you know how it compares to the nautilus mini since I hear so many good things about it? Also, anyone know the max tank size that won't over hang on the 30w since it was upgraded with that curved part at the top? I heard the mad on the 20w was about 19-20mm

I also tried Eleaf istick 20W and was truly amazed!!! It's really lovely to the eye and works like a dream. It is simple to use and works great with a range of tanks and clearomisers. In my opinion, putting a Kanger Aero Mega on this is as close to the perfect vape as you can get.

How long do your coils last in your mega? Also what coils do you use, the stock 1.5 duals? My coils in my classic evod last me 2-4weeks depending.

You need to get a 510 adapter which has the inside 510 threads. Then you use the "beauty ring" on the eGo threads to give the tank more support.

I used the Subtank Nano for a while. Good tank. I even rebuilt the OCC heads.

My one and only problem with the Nano was the stock OCC heads. Too often the cotton was too tight in the coil and would get dry hits. Would recommend the Aspire Mini instead for it has better flavor.

I'm definitely not into wanting to rebuild coils. I just wanna fill it up and use it. When I coil goes bad, I toss it and screw in a new one. I'm lazy like that, but it keeps it simple so I don't go back no cigarettes.
