Hey there! I'm looking into ordering my first GLV, but I kind of need some help on this one. I've already kind of figured out that I'd like a mini or super mini, and I've been scouring this thread trying to find my answer before I asked this question, but nothing seemed quite as dumbed down as I needed it to be so here goes. I currently use an eGo-C and alternate between the tanks and clearomizers and I love how easy it is to refil. Since this is my first pv, I've never messed with dripping or cartomizers at all before so I wouldn't even know how to start, but I really want to get a setup that will get the most bang out of my juice. I'm a hardcore Ms T's fangirl, so to any of you GLV fanatics that also love her, what has worked best for you, tanks, dripping, cartomizers? Depending on what the general favorite is I may need some hand holding as far as implementing that method goes. I've only been vaping for about a month and a lot of the terminology and abbreviations still make my head spin, so please be gentle with me because I'd really really like to make both my GLV and my beloved Ms T's the best they can be. Thanks!

One of the great things about having so many choices is that you can tailor to your GLV or any PV to YOUR liking. So anything I say is quite simply put my preferences; I am not a fan of dripping and only for the reasons of convenience, filling (or dripping), and having to carry a bottle around and actually doing the task somewhere other than home. I can and sometimes do drip but only when I am home and not mobile. Great flavor and vapor can be obtained in dripper setups. Cartos, I like cartos expecially with tanks. I use most of the time dual coil cartos tripled punched. They give me great flavor and vapor. Although I do play with my equipment but I don't care to be forced to tweak something because something is not working correctly. I also use Boge2.0's with very good results. I like having the variety of trying something new. Finding what you like and enjoy can be a fun journey for you and it is ALL YOUR OWN JOURNEY. I do not try to sway anyone into any direction, only give my experiences. Take what you need from anyone here on ECF and leave the rest behind until you need more.

I hope you enjoy your GLV should you order one. I peronally am VERY FOND of my 5v GLV.

Good luck to you on your adventure and have FUN...!!!

I've read so many good reviews about GLV and their products, and while I know there is no right or wrong way to vape, I sort of feel like I'm going into this blind. Having been spoiled by the simplicity of the eGo, all of the options I have now are a little intimidating. Since I have a nagging habit of over thinking everything, I'm now convinced that I will forget something when I go to put my order in and I won't even know it till it's too late!

I can't really say because I have a GLV2 and I am pretty sure anything I throw at the 5v unit all turns out the same because of the resistor in it. The 3.7 version I am not sure if anything changes in voltage, amperage, ohms etc.

EDIT:** OH and I like my GLV so much that I have ordered another one more to match my personality and taste. I cannot compare it to anything else (except a 3.7 EGO) so I can't say that GLV is the best BUT I don't really care to try anything else as it suits my needs and meets my expectations.

I use around 1.5 to 2.5 ohm on the Mini or SM with good results.

Carly - you can still use clearomisers on the GLV. You can use anything with a 510 connection, if that's what you ordered on your PV from GLV, or just get adapters (510 to 901, 510 to 808) if you want to try something different. You can even get a 510 to eGo adapter if you still want to use what you feel comfortable with for a while.
I think MadVapes has just about any adapter you could want. :)

I ended up going with the mini with all over black stardust flip flop. After having a remedial dripping conversation with another member, I ended up with some lr attys and drip tips so I can try dripping, some boge carts and a giant clearomizer so I have a few options to try out, I do have my eye on a phiniac tank, but that will have to wait for another special occasion.

Either extension works, the black one is higher, and you'll be able to get your finger on the whole button. The silver shorty one gets the tank over the button, but it still over-hangs a bit, so you get your finger on about 60% of the button ..... it's still easy to push it, but doesn't make your tank look like the Space Needle. LOL

Carly I just hope you like it like so many of us here do. I have no complaints with mine at all. I love the simplicity of its design, build quality, performance and pleasing looks. After I get my new one I am thinking of sending my old one (its so old, like less than 2 months) for a color change.

For anyone who uses tanks with your GLVs, I just got some XL Kanger cartos, and they are big enough that if you punch them high, you can push your tank to the top, and have enough carto out the bottom to where you don't need an extension to clear the button.
They seem to be working great so far, and I never found it on the site, but I think they are acting like LRs.

I would be careful using a Clearomizer.. I bought one, just to give it a shot, and it popped on the first hit.. Took it back and they gave me a second one that did the same thing.. Using GLV2, 5v.. The lady at the store tried it on her PV with adjustable voltage, and cranked it the whole way up to 6, and it worked just fine, but for some reason, not on the GLV.. Might have something to do with the resistance, I'm not sure.

I was starting to get a little nervous about that one. I may have dreamed this but I thought I saw somewhere that the model I got wasn't advisable for use with 3.7v devices and that if used with eGos it would void the warranty on the batts. I can't find that particular statement anywhere now so it might not have been real. I've been having a lot of ecig vendor related dreams lately.

I have used the CE2's on my GLV2 5v, it just does not like the higher voltage at 2.4 ohm. I had the same problem popping the coil after the 3rd button fire. If you are going to try any of the CE2's on the mini or super mini you should be ok. I have one on my new mini right now and it works fine. The Clearomizers have the plastic clear tube and have been prone to cracking. Below is a quote from MVS:

Disclaimer: This product is not covered by warranty and cannot be exchanged.

This version of the CE2 Clearomizers have thin tubes which WILL crack at the base and possibly leak. If this is an issue for you, do NOT purchase this version. But instead, try our 510 Ultimate CE2 Clearomizers (with crack resistant tubes).
