hope I can post this here,, need help get some info or a direction to a good thread in the main forum will also be helpful.. I haven't changed my e cig model since I started vaping. Giving away my dinosaur age lol I have used the 801 usb pass through since day one. Its been so cost effective with only 4 passthroughs a year 20 to 30 attys a year. I just drop on the heating element so no carts used. but I am very very interested in what these tank things are

anyone use them here
Do you need a cart
does the tanks need lots of parts to have to replace
what is a good choice for a strong power passthrough to match with a tank atty
If you use them do you replace them often or how often

lol it's like thinking about buying a new care would be fun to try one just get confused about what atty to match with what pass through for a power source.

I use a tank sometimes. I like them

they type i use has a dual coil cartomizer with a hole or slit in it as a core. You can usually purchase additional cartomizers from the same place that you get the tanks. The tank is filled with liquid and it goes into the carto though the holes and refills it as you vape. Even though i use 100%PG liquid i have to add extra holes.

Some people also really like vivi nova's- they're a fillerless carto (clearomizer) that are very easy to use and fill, but for me they mute the flavor somewhat.

T3's are the newest best thing. I have one but haven't tried it yet. It's also fillerless, with a bottom coild. Again easy to fill and use.

I just received my VERY PRETTY eGO batts from Vapor Girl. And some clearomizers.....the CE5s and the Kanger T2s. Won't order the T2s again, will get the T3s. But I think I like the Kanger clearos better. No syringe needed to fill. And IMO, they vape better. I do like this set-up better than my skinny cig-alikes. MUCH better.

I also am awaiting colored pyrex tanks from IBtanked.com. Ordered Boge punched cartomizers for those. No experience w/ that yet, tho, since they've not yet arrived.

ok took the plunge.. will be driving more and longer 2 hours each way to take Adele and Arka to training so I ordered a Evic starter kit am trying one of each the 1.8 and the 2.4 ego clearomizers and one of the metal larger tanks.. bought the 5 pack of extra wick things.. . will let you know how it goes

I did try my MT3. It was fine- vaped well at first but went through liquid at an alarming rate. After about 4 fills it started leaking from the center and gurgled constantly. i retired it.

Thanks CES I did try the endulgence when it came out (dinosaur here lol ) loved it but again wore out faster then I had hoped for.. Been steady reliable for the 801 all these years... Hey it's half the fun trying new gadgets right....

picked up my evic today it's almost done charging .. filled two different types of tanks with fluid as it said they may need to soak for an hour the first time before use.. so those are ready when the evic gets finished charging at 96%.. not sure the instructions are clear, I thought it said it would automatically pick what power was right for the atty that is attached so we will see.. "it's big" but expected, if this doesn't get me pulled over on the highway lol lol ...

so far laymen proof.. soft ware downloaded , firm ware upgraded and it did what it said it would do.. recognize the atty and adjust for performance... doing the big tank from vivi nova ... .. am happy is heavy

ok my overview... no biggy... happy for the hands free on the tanks and that is about it... lots of vapor but feel the thickness and flavor is just not there.... find myself reaching for my ole 801 pass through instead. just not amazed it does more then my 801

I find that the Vivi's mute the flavor some for me- that's why i tend to use carto tanks and bottom fed reos more than viv tanks or fillerless clearomizers.

hopefully you'll find a carto or tank option that gives you enough flavor to really enjoy the evic.
