My ProVari will be here soon! It comes with the Protank, but I've heard it's not the best option for the ProVari. I've ruled out the ZAP, but I was told that kayfun Lite Plus Clone would be a good way to go. I started searching and am not sure where to order it from. Prices vary anywhere from $20-$60 from different vendors. Any recommendations on where to order this? Or an even better tank? Thanks!

What you use will depend on whether you want to rebuild or not and how much money you want to spend. The Protank might work just fine for you. Lots of ProVari owners like cartos too if you won't want to rebuild. If that's not a problem the RBA's like the Kayfun/clones are one way to go, another is the Sophia which if you're already rebuilding PT coils, very similar.

Gotcha. I guess I can't really know until I get it in my hands. Just a little anxious and want to make sure I have all bases covered :)

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Definitely want re-buildable. There's a shop right around the corner from my house that carries kanthal, so I can buy a bunch from there. I'll give the protank a shot.
ProTanks aren't what you'd call rebuildable although you can rebuild the coils. They're just basic bottom-coil clearomizers.

I read every thread in the ProV section for the last 6 months or so relating to what people are using for tanks, and that pretty much sums up what I learned, except that the Nautilus is catching on as an alternative to the PT. That's what I bought, as I'm not interested in rebuilding right now (I can replace a coil, and yes, I know they are more expensive). Lots of choices, everybody likes the Kayfun/clones on the Prov's, but to keep it simple, and Ibtank for Cartotanks, or PT/Vivi Novo's/Nautilus, and a few others are favorites.

Probably most of use have done Kanger gear at one time or another, including the ProTanks (I have 3). Either started out with them, got into them later and stayed with them or left them behind. I rebuilt coils for my Kanger PT's & EVOD's (not the Mini T3's), but still left all of them behind long before I bought my ProVari's. I got into using just rebuildables, so doing RBA & RDA's was my thing. The folks here convinced me to try carto tanks, but I didn't like them at first because I had not liked cartos from my start with KR808's (ran mini tanks on them instead). Now I use the carto tanks with Sophia's (RTA's), and that puts them high in the running with the KFL's, RSST's and RDA's.
