Got my first ibtank and I'm loving it. Though I'm paranoid about the tank separating from the rings. Anybody seen any kind of elastic thing that locks it together? I'm probably throwing away a nice patent here... I could use a rubber band to help hold it in place but man, someone could make a fortune making little "bras" for the tanks that looked really cool. Leather caps with rubber eyelets and chains... Like how drum heads are held in place.

Anybody get my drift? This would be really sweet.

The Fluid Flask at Fluid Vaper is an attempt to do just that - the outer sleeve 'locks' the caps in place.
I have to admit, like you I've also had the thought of a small, adjustable device that would be able to perform a similar duty on a variety of tanks. Something akin to the wire locking mechanism on some canning jars / microbrews. But then, I think it would be more trouble than its worth - never had caps come off a tank.

If something was to come apart I would rather it be the tank than the connector of one of my devices so as long as it sits and behaves its kind of like a safety mechanism.

That said though I would imagine some folks could come up with some pretty nice stuff. Would have to be very small adornments but I got the picture you were painting skoot and done right may be pretty awesome.
