I have been having a problem finding a good tank setup for my wife. She was a smoker for thirty+ years, and has been vaping for two years now. The problem is that she takes long hard pulls on her device. Are there tanks out there that will work for people who vape like this. We have tried the ViVi Nova (coils lasting only about a day). We have tried Ismoka BCC Mega Clear Cartomizer (flooded with juice in her mouth). And we have tried just a regular tank with a dual coil cartomizer with the pre-punched holes(constantly flooded with juice). She has been smoking and vaping this way for so long, it is difficult for her to change. She is using an Ego-C upgraded battery (two settings). Any help would be greatly appreciated. She is becoming very frustrated, and I am afraid she will go back to the dark side.

Just my two cents, but I'd go with something giving good air control. If she pulls hard, the air flow can be greatly increased so as not to draw more juice through than required.

From experience the Aerotank from Kangertech is pretty straightforward, but quite large for an ego battery. They have just released a new Aerotank mini, which would work in a similar manner, whilst looking more aesthetically pleasing on the battery. These are dual coil atomisers, so it may be prudent to select a resistance slightly lower than you may normally use (if you usually run 1.8-2.0ohm, try the 1.5ohm on these).

Hi & welcome!

Perhaps a carto-tank might be an idea. The wicking shouldn't be a problem unless it's a high VG liquid.
I hear such good things about them & will be my next step. Look at IBtanked & Phiniac for a couple of the popular ones.

My plain old plastic evods are my daily go to. They make them in glass now too. I don't think I've ever had a dry or burnt hit with the evods. I also have a Protank mini2 that has worked fine & is made of glass/pyrex. One nice thing is the low cost of replacement heads as I haven't started to rebuild yet.

Good luck & have fun,

JC

BTW, read up on plastic eating liquids. Talk about flooding!! Lol.

Taking long hard draws she will probably flood most bottom coil clearomizers fairly quickly. I wonder if she might like thee large cartomizers, they wouldn't flood since there is no tank and they hold 5ml of juice. eGo Mega Dual Coil Clear Cartomizer, Flat Tip - (5-pack)

Also a juice with a higher VG content might help with the flooding issues on a regular carto tank as the juice would be thicker.

Agree with the Aerotank mini suggestion. Leave the airflow wide open and it will allow her to draw harder without wicking as much juice.

You can also drill out an existing bottom coil tank such as an EVOD or mini pro tank. Just drill out one of the pre drilled holes on the bottom to 1/16".

The carto tank is a great option as well but a lot of people hate filling cartomizers so it might add extra frustration.

Thanks for all the great advice. I have looked into the Aerotank, and I think that will work better for her. Not a big fan of the glass tank because I have a four year old and a bunch of cats who like knocking .... over. Have to see if my local vape shops carry it. Thanks again for all your help.

The glass is Pyrex, and from someone who has dropped one... A LOT. They are actually very durable. Been dropped on concrete several times out of a lifted truck. Not a single crack.

I should mention that the Aerotank Mini comes with both pyrex & stainless tanks, so no danger of breaking with the SS option in place.
