Been on here for a couple of weeks. Been vaping since the middle of October, and NEVER going back to analogs now! Read dang near every thread on here learning the lingo and what all is out there. Currently using a Tececig Phoenix model, which uses a Leo pt, and an atty/cartridge, and also came with a huge cartomizer. Pretty happy with it, except for the fact that it seems not to utilize all of the juice in the filler of the atty/cartridge. I keep it topped off, but even after 20, or so hits it gets what I describe as a dry atty hot boxed flavor. I pull the cartridge out and its still looks very soaked in juice. I top off the cart, nd drop a couple on the aty too, and go back at it. I've replaced the filler a couple of times to start with fresh juice thinking this would help use more of the oil trapped in the filler even. My question is, I dont want to try this mod, that mod, this product, that product and waste a bunch of money in the meantime finding the happy median. Ive thought about a tank model, or just going straight to a bottom feeder such as a woodvil mini, or Reo. Tanks look like a little work, with the possibility of leaking of breaking the tank from being in my pants pocket. The bottom feeders look kind of bulky to be carrying around in my pocket when out and about somewhere. Just a little confused on what to do. Any suggestions please.

Thanks.

I have a 510 dual cartomizer tank from Madvapes, and so far, I haven't had any problems with it bouncing around in my backpack, or in my pocket. Of course, YMMV.

I tried a bottom feeder mod or two, and I never cared for them, btw. It was either flooding, or not sucking in enough juice, tanks cartos work great if you make the pre-drilled hole bigger for a VG heavy juice, or use PG-based (thinner consistency) juice.

I'm a bit unfamiliar with the PV (phoenix) but from the site it looks like it has cartridges rather than cartomizers (perhaps both) but if you have separate atty and cartridge you might try a 'blue foam mod' (basically using blue foam - available at any pet store or walmart aquarium supplies) for the 'filler'. That might cure your wicking problem.

As far as a bottom feeder goes - I've had a few and the Reo mini is a favorite. The taste is like dripping and having 3ml inside is quite nice not to have to fill. As far as carrying the PV - even with a cig style, eGo style or tube mod, having a case hard enough to protect is best. I use on of these for eGo's:

Slim Readers READING GLASSES 2.50 Silvertone Frames,Case - +2.50 strength

Got it at walmart - smoke transparent - and cheaper than the above.

I never put an ecig in my jeans pocket, for example. For the box style reo - or similar, small phone/beeper cases work well on the belt. Or in an inside jacket pocket. Mine is by 'fonegear' again walmart or sears.... has the openings for an antenna/mouthpiece ;)

Having never used a bottom feeder, I cannot truly compare. For five months, I have used the same one tank, and I think it is great to have such a large amount of juice without refilling. Also I have always preferred cartos over attys, and so I like that part of a tank. I have never cared for the atty/cart set-up, and I think vaping would be more enjoyable for you is you tried either a carto or an atty.

Give a tank a try with cartos, and if you don't like that, there is less money commitment than if you buy a bottom feeder and don't like it.

And since you are in Indy(my daughter lives their), try out a store front that can help you with your choices Welcome To The Only Vapor Shop In Indianapolis And Central Indiana.......
