I LOVE my Stardusts. It all depends on the individual. I wouldn't put a tank on an eGo type battery, but that is my personal preference. I do have one on my Provari though....

Some Stardust eye candy for the Stardust haters hehehe...

see when i asked the folks at the local store about tanks, the consensus was generally that they don't like them because unless you're sucking on it more or less constantly, they'll flood and you get a mouthful of tongue-numbing juice. Maybe their selection is merely limited? Are there different kinds of tanks i'm not aware of?

I hate cottony cartos, i realized that right away. I got one of the new stardusts with the longer threads and i like it better than the previous model with the shorter wicks.

Day two with the Stardust was even worse. It was leaking on both ends, onto the battery connection, and lots of condensation out through the mouthpiece.

Also the draw was impossibly tight, and even with vaping horizontally, it tasted burnt and muted at best.

I broke down and paid $17 for a pack of LR Boge Cartos and a Drip Tip from a local vapor shop. The price was insane, but it sure beat the Stardust. I asked for Boge 2.0's and she handed me a pack of SR's, then I mentioned that I asked for 2.0's and she seemed confused, finally got a pack of LR's after some back and forth. They said that it was probably my juice and I should get some of thier house juice, cause everyone around just loves their Stardusts (old versions BTW) and thier 70/30 blend. I simply paid for my cartos and drip tip, and dumped out the juice in my Stardust into a brand new Boge 2.0, and all was well again.

Maybe it is the VG juice, but I have read a lot of posts from people who are using Boba's in a Stardust exclusively without problems. I don't know what the problem is, but I am not going down the Stardust road again, a good Tank has got to be much better. Even if PG juice does work better in a Stardust than VG juice, that still doesn't excuse the impossible draw and muted/burnt flavor.

I like your batteries! They are very pretty! lol! I'm going to try these in a REAL tank haha....

While I like the thought of not having any filler, the Stardust etc. do have a VERY muted flavor to me. I don't know whether it's the fact that they are in a plastic tank or what, but I guess I'm going to find out soon.

There's a guy on here who's done that, Kay with a ce2 in a tank. His name was crispy critter but he changed it. He had a post up about it. He slots them with a dremmel, just the one slot, says it works very well. He says you can even use the plastic ones but not the plastic from the ultimate ce2, you have to get the thinner plastic ones.

Yes, I was reading in the Phiniac tank forum where someone had used them in their Phiniac tank, so I've ordered some. I think I'll punch them as I'm not too handy with a dremel and don't want to get metal shavings in them:D I don't want to use the plastic ones, as I'm trying to get away from plastic...that's the whole idea! lol!

Stardust:
Doesn't taste as good as boge carto (my opinion)
Fits on the ego/kgo well and looks great
Very easy to fill - many people don't like to deal with filling cartos.
Has a tight draw unless to modify it
Hard to replace components (wick & coil)
They can't handle high voltage (burns wick easy). Not an issue on normal ego/kgo

Tank:
Come in many sizes and variances
more expensive in the beginning but they last longer.
If too large will look abnormal and top heavy on ego/kgo
Quality of a carto
More choices of resistance of the atomizer
Have to punch holes or slot unless you buy them already punched
Can be tricky at first to manage flooding issue or carto getting to dry.
Easy to fill but you must use a syringe
easy to replace components (just change to a new carto)

Ok, so I got a Mini-Submarine Tank and some punched 2.0 Boge Cartos today from ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE / E CIGARETTES STARTER KITS AND E LIQUID NICOTINE FROM MOM AND POP

And yep, it works perfect. Much better than the Stardusts.

Even got one with a blue thumscrew that looks great on my KGO battery with the blue led button.

The tank is perfect for what I needed. Great Boge taste, and no more constant topping off the carto. And the Mini-Sub is exacly what I needed.

My current Set-Up is:
KGO Battery with shorty cone
Mini-Submarine Tank
Boge LR 2.0 punched carto
Aluminum Drip Tip
Boba's Bounty Juice

And it is AWESOME!
