Can anyone recommend a sub ohm tank that can give you a suitable Vape without requiring high watts and fast juice consumption. I've been using Kanger sub tanks for the past year and I'm looking to switch to something else . Currently I can run the subtank coils at 25 watts and get a satisfactory Vape I'm just looking for something else that might be a little bit better quality. Keep in mind better quality doesn't always mean more expensive and I'm not looking to spend $40 on a tank

The Smok Baby Beast is an excellent performer, but unfortunately the big clouds you may be seeking will require higher wattage and you will go through a lot of liquid. The result will be a large, flavorful, if somewhat expensive cloud.

The Subtank Mini makes for a very nice mouth-to-lung tank. Use the 1.2 ohm coils, tighten the airflow and perhaps swap in a smaller bore drip tip.

A lot of people like the Aspire tanks for middle of the road clouds and good flavor.

I'm a growing fan of the Vaporesso Estoc. Reasonable price and excellent performance in both vapor production and flavor.

Many good options out there. Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to ECF. Not much help in tank department. What ever you decide on, hold off until Labor Day. Always good sales on holidays. I will be ordering a Captain S and probably an Asvape Cobra. Mostly to keep for when I get tired of wicking 3/4 rtas every 3 days or so.

Running into a physics problem here. The clouds are made of vaporized juice. To make a big cloud you need a lot of heat and you use a lot of juice.

If you want big clouds without big expense the only option is to look into DIY juice mixing. On the bright side it's really easy and the savings are enormous.

If you can rebuild, and if you are interested in RTAs take a look at Goblin mini v3,Serpent mini,Serpent SMM,Ammit 22

I am a huge fan of the SMM. It has great flavors and very easy to build. If I can build it, most anyone can..

I'm going to agree with Bombastinator. I don't know that it's possible to have lower juice consumption and still have huge clouds. I'd imagine the TC options being presented are good, as it's possible to have a *cooler* vape with still some pretty high production of clouds and flavor. With that being said, I'm unsure how much less juice you will consume in order to achieve satisfaction. If you enjoy sub0hming, you are probably in the BEST place to look at DIY (it really is easy... If I can achieve success, I think anyone can, and after startup costs, it is much less expensive.) I'd pick DIY juice over DIY coils or tanks, any day of the week. That said, if you are mechanically and electrically minded, many RTA may work for you and you've gotten some good suggestions.

The only thing I would consider is trying an either/or tank like the Nautilus 2 with a 0.7 coil, or maybe even the Nautilus X which comes with various coil options including an RTA option if you buy the survival kit. If you are going to be sub-ohming REALLY, I'd consider the Nautilus X as it has a tank extender.... If you run the 0.7 coil in the Nautilus 2 in a sub-0hm manner, it's likely that you will be refilling frequently....

Disclaimer, I have the Nautilus X survival kit, but I haven't even unboxed it yet. I've been to obsessed with my Kabuki (and the eclipse, and other stuff) so I can't offer an "I have tried this recommendation" but it's an inexpensive, flexible tank, it seems, I was able to pick up the survival kit which included the tank itself for under $30 US.

You could try a low cost Kabuki clone, I have the original with the airflow and wattage set so it's a pure MTL tank, which is how I like things. HOWEVER, a Kabuki clone (lower cost to try out) could easily be set up with different coils to run it on TC mode and see how you like it (triton mini nickle coils) or the Nautilus 0.7 coil, which is a sub0hm coil, but not as intense as a .15 octocouple coil. I haven't tried the TC coils yet but I did order some and I'm interested to see how the tank will perform, though I may not like it. I can say I LOVE the design of the tank itself, and it's flexible.... You can put any Nautilus coils in there and any triton mini coils so that gives you a good range, and once you find where you like your airflow, you can set it and forget about it. It's bottom fill, but so easy to fill even my clumsy self can't mess it up, and it's a slightly larger capacity (3 mls) than the Nautilus 2. The vape is impeccable, I was quite startled. I tend to think of it as a MTL tank, and I THINK it was designed that way, but the latest generation is more of a crossover tank, depending on what coils you get.

I'd highly recommend giving it a shot, it gives me such an improvement in flavor production. To be fair, I don't know how it performs as a DL tank, but I do know it can be run that way, and trying a clone would be pretty inexpensive and give you a feel for the tank.

Good luck!

I don't do pre-fab coil tanks. If you want a good, easy to build tank that doesn't cost big bucks, makes good cloud and has great flavor, you can do worse than the Serpent SMM already mentioned. Another good option is an Augvape Merlin. They're rather similar in design.

I also agree the bigger the cloud, the more power it takes and the more juice it burns, all else being equal.

Not sure if anyone even read what your looking for lol. Original Uwell Crown is a great sub ohm tank, better quality vape with satisfactory amount of vapor like the subtank mini. Assuming you need a 22mm tank.
