looking at a few tank systems and think it would be more for me refilling cartos constantly is getting messy. would it cut back on the mess? lookin at the joye line of products. refilling cartos and getting satisfactory output isn't what i thought it would be either. are thier any leaks and other stuff. i have a very mobile job but have been lookin at a 510-t. anyone with a similar experience.

I think at least 1/2 the people who buy -T systems switch to cartomizers for a more consistent and trouble-free vape as well as flavors that each have their own coil and are not mixed in an atomizer.

Atomizers can be cranky, degrade. -T atomizers are also expensive and can have problems with burning taste or leaks. You may need to adjust the wick to where it works best. Some who want tanks switch to carto tanks (a tank you put a sidewall-punched carto down the middle of).

On cartomizers I use a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece. I can pull it out and look at the stuffing - if it's gone white on top the carto could take some juice. I always add juice before putting on a fresh battery since they are hotter fresh off the charger, before bed, before leaving the house, when I get home. In addition, any time the carto's vapor tastes weak or the slightest bit wrong, or if the carto is getting abnormally warm, I add juice. I use thin clear juices, around 80PG/20VG, avoiding all dark/cloudy/opaque juices - I want juices that drop no flavoring sediment and don't gunk up the carto stuffing.

You could try carrying a couple of cartos - just switch cartos when one seems like it's getting low and add juice to the other when you get a chance. Or look into carto tanks.

Ahhh - I just saw you are talking about SLIM 510-T? First of all - I would never buy an auto 510. Manual 510's are totally sealed on the end against being damaged or killed by juice leaks. And manuals make it easier to get a good hit. And re carto tanks - that would look ridiculous on a slim 510-T - it would be big and fat compared to the battery. And also - the slim 510-T's own atomizer tanks have crappy capacity - I think 1/2 the capacity of a 1ml cartomizer.

Yep on dormouse's post... I like the tank but had problems with the atomizers, mainly cost and how quick they went south on me. The carto tanks DCT seem less costly to operate and then there are the large cartomizers. Not sure what kind of usage you are looking for but I ended up changing from a 510 to and eGo within a few days of changing batteries. Good system for lighter use than the damage I tried to toss at it. The other benefit of the eGos larger batteries is a selection of larger juice carrying methods. With 3 ml tanks and cartos you have a nice supply without worrying about being caught out dry.

Look at this ECHO-E cartomizer. I have been using two in rotation for a few days now and loving them. Both have been filled twice since their initial fill and going strong. Only bad thing I can say about them is they warm up with chain vaping and need to cool down and when they are warmed up they will have condensation in the tip that if you have them pointed upward can give you a powerful drop on your lip... kind of like getting a shot of flavored chewing tobacco. Keeping it tilted slightly down when drawing I have never gotten this. Other than that, nice full flavor seem like they will be in there for the long haul, hold a ton and certainly cheap enough to toss when you need to.

How about DCT?
example this one Smoktech 510 DCT V2 DCT v2 3,5ml tank?
still prefer LR single coil cartomizers over DC cartomizers.
myself i got over -T systems maeby too quick, broke my atomizers or something, was buying new ones and noticed single coil cartos, and have kept using em few months now and testing different cartos now.
ego mega dual coil, still is the best for me for the vapor&taste, but like the idea of DCT systems where liquid is visible for you. also smoktech dct v2 3,5ml is well made not comparing to 6ml v1 dct from smoktech. their also cheap comparing to other dct-manufacturers similiar products.

I started with the tank but never liked it. I read and tried suggestions. I watched video reviews and how-tos. I gave it a good shot. The thing is, I thought it was high-maintenance with low return. I use LR cartomizers now and have a great vaping experience. Good suggestion by dormouse - use a drip tip - very nice and easy.

I was just where you were, OP. tired of cartos after almost a year. just got my first carto-tank yesterday and LOVING it!!!

I got the side fill from mom and pops vapor shop w/ some plastic needle usable caps for my juice bottles, unscrew the side- screw, squirt the juice in, and i'm good for hours.

I got the larger tank and put a bogelr in it best i could, and get about 4 ml in it. These are great, even with the bottom grommet sorta crooked- no leaks. no gurgling or dry hits either.

much better hits everytime, not going from too wet to too dry and worrying about burnt hits. for twelve bucks. very pocket freindly, tank doesn't move at all.

Started vaping about 2 weeks ago trying to find my sweet spot, bought the ego-t starter kit. The tanks are very hit and miss, they're cool when they work (lacking in flavor though) but suck when they don't.

I've had to tweezer out plastic off the wick, even a tiny bit of plastic on the wick or spike will give you a burning taste. The little part on the tank that gets spiked out, well the plastic fell into my tank once, tried the silicone covers and the leaking was worse, etc.

Got some Boge 2.0 cartos and love the flavor and throat hit but not a big fan of filling them more than a tank system. I'm getting my 510 Ultimate CE2 Clearomizer XL today so I'll try it out. Next on my list is the DCT V2.

I have the 510-T and I love it. It has been a great starter kit, but I'm already thinking about upgrades.

I love the ease of use. I got the refill kit from American eLiquid Store and it makes filling a breeze (Tank Filling Kit for ANY Tank Style Electronic Cigarette Kit).

But I'm also a light vaper i.e. I don't change flavors and I get a full day of vaping off a single 510 battery charge. A 1.2 mL tank lasts me a good day and a half so refilling isn't a big deal and with the refill kit its super easy and I have zero mess. I haven't had any leaks or burnt taste either.
