this retailed at a ridiculous amount of money, and to have the tank get stuck like that has really ...... me off, there should be no flawes at all for that amount of money, so whats happening is when I go to unscrew the tank, it unscrews the AFC instead...... the tank seems stiff, any fixes for this?

Use a rubber sheet gripper pad to turn the tank by the base. Dollar general or the Dollar Tree or most grocery stores have them. Rubber gloves will also help get a grip on the atomizer base.
An alternative is a wrap of duct tape on the atomizer. Use rubber gloves if necessary to turn the base of the tank to remove. Once a couple of wraps of duct tape are on the base you can carefully use pliers to turn it without scratching. Put a little juice on the 510 threads and the atomizer threads to ease assembly and disassembly.

I had this problem all the time. I used to wrap one of my guitar/bass amp cables around the tank bass to get a grip.
Now I lightly tighten the tank bass to the mods and can unscrew it by hand every time.

Nothing gets stuck for me with these. Just wrap a paper towel or a rag around where you put the channel locks and I hope I don't have to say do not put in on the glass.
Those $4 ceramic tweezers that you get with the round in on them are made for taking off stuck tanks also with the round end.
problem is they only fit around the AF ring...whcih spins around. If you take that off, the clamp doesnt fit!
The finer the threads, the better your chances of seizing up. Especially in little spaces.

If it happens again another thing you can try is to put a small screwdriver in the air hole to use as a lever.The doggystyle 2k16...
I had a problem unscrewing the chimney from the steel bit on the top.
Wonder if the qorax method of applying vaseline on all threads is the way to go.
