Tanks, cartos, attys. Couple of questions

Just about everything I've seen so far about tank mods shows them working with cartomizers. I
hate cartomizers because I find the flavor and dryness of the vapor is crap compared to what I get
from dripping a 510 atty... at least with the only battery I have - a 900mah ego batt. (what is that,
3.2 volt? 3.4 volt?)

Anyway, on VaporKings' site, I saw in the bulk atomizer section Joye 510 LR attys listed as "non-
coated for tank mods". So, I'm wondering if there is a special tank mod out there that works with
atomizers instead of cartomizers, or if the usual suspects of tank mods out there are being used
with attys as well as cartos???

Also, does a cartomizer generally perform better or differently when used inside a tank instead of
just by itself?

Lastly, I'm wondering if my lack of satisfaction with cartomizers might stem from using them with
an ego batt instead of a 3.7 or higher volt mod or VV mod? Any insight on this? The LR cartos are
better than the standard cartos, and both are better than the 1.5ohm clear DCC on my setup,
where there is next to NO flavor on those things.

part of vaping with cartos is this: once you have taken few vapes, the top of the heating coil (and filler) is now dry, hence the "dry vape feeling".
when the carto is in a tank, its constantly wet all the way to the top.
im not 100% it will taste like a ce2 or things of that nature but....ive heard very good things about them. (i also think the cartos might last longer in a liquid tank because they are ALWAYS wet.
