I received a few of these tanks this week. One works great but the other gives me a burnt taste and has since I filled it. I tried what Snow suggested above (dripping from the top) and it helps for a bit and the burnt taste comes back. It just doesn't seem to fill the cart. When I filled it I did do the prim but I don't think it helped.

Any suggestions?

Try dry hitting it 3-5 times , put your finger on the bottom of the tank and get some hard hits off it, had to do this to one of my tanks ot get it wicking.

Just because you have juice in the tank does not mean there is juice near the coil inside the carto - either do as AIB53 suggested to draw juice into the carto, or drip / syringe fill the carto from the top after filling the tank to make sure the wicking is wet - not just on the top, but down deeper where the coil lies. A lot of people are toasting their cartos right away since they're not following instructions and recommendations, of which there are many excellent sources of guidance in posts and videos throughout this forum.

I've done the dry hits at least 25 to 30 times. The wicking is definitely wet because I can use it for awhile after dripping or using a syringe. I just can't get this one to wick from the carto. The other two I have are working well. I've been reading and watched the videos I could find a few times each.

I'm using 50/50 but it's not a thick 50/50, rather thin. The other two are filled with 50/50 from the same company and everything is fine with them.

I guess I dump this carto and try another one in the tank.

Can you confirm there is a small hole about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom of the cart? That is the feedhole, it could be plugged, but you may be done with this carto no matter what. Before you put a new one in the tank, make sure that hole exists and is open. Hope the carto giving you problems was just a fluke, good luck!

Hmmm, this happened to me yesterday. I actually threw away 4 tanks cartos yesterday, I think I got a dud batch. Only one gave me the burned taste, and I filled & primed exactly as I usually do, the others just wouldn't fire. Weird, but the ones I have in now work fine. Go figure.
I think the trash can home is the best place for that carto.

I threw out two tank carts tonight, not because they were burned, but because they fell out of my pocket into the pond :-(

My diamond XL mans still fire after drying / blowing out with compressed air, hopefully they will stay working!

Had same issue. Replaced carto same burnt taste, almost had melt down. Desided to clean the tamks and cartos. Boiled water took off heat wait to stop boiling tossed everything in. pulled tanks first, one was smoketech other was tank I was hwving an issue with. Blew out cartos and heated water again, repeated two more time with just cartos. Went to put new carts in tanks while others dried. Smoktech tank went together great and vaped wonderful, other tank went cloudy and warped. Best guess cheep tank plastic caused issue.

I think mine is not priming it properly. I've now thrown away 4 cartos. Some just will not prime and I think they were dudds. I changed cartos out last night because they were getting a very tight draw. 2 were fine and the other 3 I tried in the third tank just would not prime. Dripping -- dry hits over and over, etc.
