I just ordered a Mini Kanger Subtank, and I made sure the place I ordered from is only selling the tanks with the replacement insulators. So, I'm happily waiting on my vapemail to arrive...reading all the comments about how EVERYONE loves this tank, and I came across several remarks about the replacement insulators.

The original insulators are white, and Kanger replaced them with a clear material called 'PEEK' that isn't supposed to melt like the original white stuff.

Now the clear 'PEEK' insulators are being replaced with a light brown colored insulator. It's enough to make anyone's head spin. How could Kanger NOT KNOW that these insulators melt during subohm vaping?

I'm really hoping my Subtank is equipped with the light brown, never-known-to-melt insulator!
Anyone who owns a Subtank with said melting part can contact Kangertech for a free replacement.
Email them at: service@kangertechus.com or call 1-888-799-1988

White == Bad. Don't use them. Contact your vendor for replacement insulators.
Clear == Mostly OK, but there have been some complaints about them cracking under high heat. Keep in mind we're not sure if it's user error, or whether they are actually defective. Most vendors are carrying replacements. I've seen them everywhere from free to 45 cents to replace them, at least in the phoenix area.
Brown == No known issues.
