hmmm...i've been hearing and reading a lot about this. but for me, i still look for the real thing, analog, as you guys call it. maybe because i am still new to e-cigs. or maybe because i am just addicted to the analog. i bought an electronic cigarette only because i thought it was cool. and hey, i can use it just about anywhere. so yeah, maybe I would give myself a bit more time and see if i can finally get over the analogs and stick to the e-cig.

I wouldn't worry about it. Everyone is different in how they approach E-cigs. There are a lot of factors that determine how effective they are for you: What you value most about smoking (throat hit, visual cue and/or warmth of smoke, flavour, simplicity of function, etc.), what E-cig you're using with what attachment (carto, atty/cart, tank, etc.), what flavour, strength and PG/VG blend of juice you're using, and who made the juice -- quite a few things. But the right combination that fits your needs best can make a world of difference in your experience compared to analogs.

But the great thing about E-cigs is that you can go at your own pace. Don't worry too much about quitting right away. You don't have to. Even if you're just cutting down, they're helping; all you need to do is find that right combo and I think you'll find you'll cut down even more, if not quit analogs completely. Just don't pressure yourself. Any reduction in analogs is a win.

I smoked Black and Milds for about 4 years prior to starting vaping and absolutely loved the taste. I picked up a single a few weeks ago and couldn't even finish it. The taste was just nasty. I now know that I could never go back to smoking again. At this point even if I for some reason couldn't vape anymore, I still wouldnt go back to smoking. Ecigs are a lifesaver for me. I had tried everything from the patch to gum and nothing worked.

I started vaping 3 weeks ago, dropped from 3 packs a day to 1 or 1.5, overnight. Even if that's as good as it got, that's a big help, IMO. I was told not to push myself, just vape when I want to vape, smoke when I want to smoke, and I did for the first couple of weeks.

After that, I was finding that a lot of the cigs I was smoking were "habit" cigs, where I would light them without thinking - and as soon as I took the first puff, I'd think "Hey, I wish I'd justed grabbed my ego, that would have been fine".

So last Friday, I started pushing myself more to limit the smoking, and trying to keep the cigs just out of easy reach, to limit the "habit" cigs. I smoked 12 that day, wasn't stressed about it. That includes going out drinking/dancing that night, too. That got me pretty stoked - from 3 packs a day, down to 12 cigs a day? Big jump.

So Saturday I woke up and thought "Maybe I can do without, maybe not, but lets see". Saturday - 4 cigs.

Now it's Sunday afternoon, I've smoked 3, and I'm guessing I'll have one or two more before bedtime. Even if it's 3 more, that's 6 today, 4 yesterday - a half pack in two days. And I'm not getting stressed and cranky and constantly dying for a cig like I've been before when I tried to quit.

Vaping may not work for everyone, but it's sure working for me.
