Anyone ever have your juices taste like burnt rubber? I have an igo W and my coil came down and touched the rubber seal on the center post. Well its been 5 or 6 hours and I can't vape withought tasting nasty burnt rubber. Even after I switched to my ego style set up and recoiled the igo w thinking there was probably burnt rubber on the coil. I need some advice fast. Thanks in advance!

Vaper's Tongue is due to an overloaded set of scent receptors in the back of your nasal passage but people think it's overloaded taste buds on your tongue, it's not.

Dehydration and overvaping one flavor can cause this it seems, it takes a day or so to get those scent receptors back on line so to speak.

Big Picture Science Podcast did a show on these receptors and how they effect taste when they misfire.

I switch flavors thru the day, apparently this keeps the scent receptors from getting overloaded and I drink plenty of water when vaping, diluted fruit juice actually.

This might be the case. I've been vaping the same flavor for almost 3 weeks. I guess I need some other favorites. By the way been vaping fuzion vapor's krankberry.

I have JUST learned of vapours tongue today ( although some say its not about the tongue but about the olfactory receptors in the back of your throat ). I've been smoke free for 4 1/2 months and been loving the vaping. A friend of mine gave me some menthol juice and I vaped it for a couple days exclusively. I went back to my other juices that I had been loving and they tasted like either nothing or chemicals. Let my wife vape one of them and she said it was fine. Did I just overload or fry my sense of taste with menthol?
