TE3 tanks on a 510 battery? How?

Is there some adapter that will allow me to use my smoklessimage TE3 tanks on a 510 battery? I'm trying to find a way to use a TE3 on a evic. Ive heard the smokeless image thread type is 808. The 510 to 808 adapters ive seen look like the wont make contact with the center post on the tanks though. Also I see alot of 801 adapters and 808D adapters. Which one am I supposed to use? Has anyone else attempted this?

On a side note im (NOT) looking for anyone to sugest other tanks.

Smokeless Images T3 has VGO threading which is close to eGo threads, but the post is different. I haven't seen an adapter available that would allow you to use it on a 510/eGo threaded Evic. You need an eGo threaded Kanger T3S.

You can get Kanger replacement coils(510) for SI's T3 to use on any 510 device without an adapter. I did that when SI came out with T3s in different colors just by swaping out the bases, I could use them on my SI X2s and spinners as well as using them on my Evic.

No adapters needed.

Doh....I didn't think of that. You'll need a T3S replacement coil base and a five-pack of Kanger T3S replacement coils and you're good to go. If you need vendor links for these things, send me a PM.

If it exists at all, a 510 to VGO adapter would be really hard to find - most people are trying to go the other way around (808 batt to eGO device). And even if you could find one, it would add an unsightly gap with exposed threads, then you'd have to get a beauty ring too, which is a PITA when you have to charge the batt (I have that on my stuff, but I go from SI Spinner to EVOD).

So yeah, easiest would be to get a regular eGo base for your SI T3 (you can just buy the bottom part). And like J.R. said, make sure you get the T3S one with removable heads - that way you can just buy replacement heads instead of the whole bottom base assembly. If you buy it from almost anyone except SI, it'll have regular eGo threading to fit your 510 batt.
