I'm composed a list of ideas I hope PV manufacturers are considering as the vaping scene evolves. Although the current PV's we're using are not bad, I do think there is scope for improvement. This list is in no particular order, please feel free to add more ideas in the comments, and grow the list.

  • Assisted Suction : Considering how much people vape, a device with decent suction is essential. It shouldn't feel like you're trying to suck a ball bearing through a straw to get a good TH. If you've ever gone Scuba Diving, you'll agree that scuba equipment makes breathing effortless. Will PV's of the future contain pressurized cartos?
  • Reostats: Otherwise known as a variable resistor, in the form of a dial located somewhere on the battery housing, with voltage presets. Some juice tastes good at 5v, others 3.7. Controllable voltage without having to use DIY mods would be awesome.
  • Battery indicator: I don't have many suggestions how to make this practical. I think an LCD display would be overkill. There must be some way to show the user what battery life they have remaining. Precision should at least be down to the last hour.
  • 2 flavor cartos: These would slot into specific atties so that flavors don't get mixed. This would not be like a shotgun, you would only smoke 1 flavor at a time. The point is, it would be nice to be able to alternate between 2 flavors. This is mostly true when you're vaping an obscure flavor that tastes nice, but after an hour or so, you need to switch it because it could be over powering.
  • Cross charging units: Would be nice to get Nokia charger adapters for PV's. Imagine if you got an adapter from battery to Nokia (new style) connector. If you forget your charger, usually someone in the office will have one.
  • Better Automatics: Manuals exist because automatics (like Greensmoke) don't really work well. Automatics might become the norm in the future again, once the tech improves.

Well I'm pretty sure the Little sister has a thumb adjustable variable voltage. I think the Buzz has a low battery indicator (might be wrong). I don't think automatics are a bad design, they are just activated too easily. If they were to require suction only, or have a band around the most commonly held area that "unlocked" the battery for use with touch I would use one.

Well, this is much more relevant to everyday products, but a wireless 5V passthrough isn't too far down the road. The wireless transfer of energy is being developed and will most likely replace power cables in the not so distant future.

I never believed it'd ever happen.
But apparently, tesla had found a way to transmit power to whole cities.
It's something about getting things to resonate at a desired frequency. And obviously very safe. It's just resonance.

Crazy to think that the tech was invented a century or so ago, isn't it?

The Fistpack offers the battery indicator and has different voltage settings. I ADORE mine!

Nuck closed for the summer but should be selling again soon or you can build your own from his walkthrough. Best vape I've had in more than a year vaping is the Fistpack with LR attys :) vaping heaven!

I think Nuck has been working on a new model over the summer too which will cover both standard attys & LR attys. Pretty sweet!

I think the Fistpack looks pretty sweet, for $199 dollars though, I would imagine it should be! This is the type of technology I would like to see in the $50 dollar price range PV.

I am a GUY from L.A. not girl. lol
I think the new automatic batteries are already here. Volcano has an automatic battery that isn't activated by sound at all that works quite well. I think it's only available in the Magma (510) right now though.

Problem is, juice can still get in the batt. I was discussing this problem in this thread, I think it could work. But I try not to mess w/ autos if I can help it anymore. I think the touch triggered switch is a better idea, that way no lag.http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...sign-requests/114593-drip-tip-auto-batts.html

Gonna address the ones that exist or that I have ideas for...the other ones are a little out of my league.
  • Reostats: Otherwise known as a variable resistor, in the form of a dial located somewhere on the battery housing, with voltage presets. Some juice tastes good at 5v, others 3.7. Controllable voltage without having to use DIY mods would be awesome.
We've got variable voltage mods out right now, the Buzz is one example, little sister another, and I'm sure there are a few more I don't know about or can't be arsed to remember the names of. Definitely the wave of the future, although they're using a potentiometer to adjust the voltage rather than a Reostat.
  • Battery indicator: I don't have many suggestions how to make this practical. I think an LCD display would be overkill. There must be some way to show the user what battery life they have remaining. Precision should at least be down to the last hour.
Shouldn't be hard to implement via a microswitch and tiny voltage meter.

  • Cross charging units: Would be nice to get Nokia charger adapters for PV's. Imagine if you got an adapter from battery to Nokia (new style) connector. If you forget your charger, usually someone in the office will have one.
I do believe there's at least one that uses an I(anything) connector... Pretty sure the tanker does. (search for the ecig mod list in google if you haven't seen it)
  • Better Automatics: Manuals exist because automatics (like Greensmoke) don't really work well. Automatics might become the norm in the future again, once the tech improves.
The 2 biggest problems with automatics are that the vacuum switches become gunked up, and that the sound activated will go off in your pocket in traffic. I don't know what can be done about the sound activated, but for the vacuum powered it should be simple enough to redesign and add a very thin tube and house a more sensitive vacuum switch further in the ecig for protection. Already have a design in mind for it, but hope it doesn't come down to me having to do something about this problem...

There is one thing about manuals that evidently was not a concern, with an autobatt you can't precook the atty to get it heated up a little before you draw on it. No clue at all how to make an autobatt predict you drawing, gonna have to rely on higher voltage to heat it up faster I guess. Maybe touch sensitive to your lips? lol...

Wait...that solves almost all the problems of autos....! still lol

(note, I didn't read hardly any other posts before I wrote this...maybe the first response. Tired...sleepy time now..)
