I haven't seen anything variable voltage out there smaller than the Little Sister, or even close to being as small.
And it looks like it's very well made and easy to use.

I had been thinking about getting one for nights out, but I got a Bartleby instead.
I was afraid if I got into variable voltage I might no longer be satisfied with my Chucks.
:)

But I DO have my eye on that ProVari, although it wouldn't be small enough for nights out.

When I first got my Little Sister, it seemed kinda fragile (same plastic as a Bic lighter) and I was sure I'd break it. Well, it's been a couple of months and I've dropped it and rattled it around in my purse next to my Silver Bullet and car keys and it still works like a charm. Battery live is short, (maybe a couple of hours with heavy vaping) but the batteries are tiny so you can bring lots with you for trade-outs if you're gonna be gone long. I haven't noticed any big pay-back for variable voltage. I'm too lazy to really pay attention so usually set it somewhere in the middle range and it's good enough for me. It's really small and comfortable in your hand. Button seemed fragile, too, yet it's still going strong with no problems.

My take after using for a few months (it was my first mod).

The switch isn't the best, but Ken will fix it for you. I believe he's started using a different switch now, hopefully more durable. My BB had the same switch and both have been replaced. Newer one in the BB.
The 10440 batteries aren't up to snuff for an all dayer, but as others have recommended, pick up a handful of extras for your day out and you'll be fine.
The BB is the better mod, and smaller overall, but the switch placement on the LS is better/perfect.
