Could be that some e-liquid has spilled out of the mouthpiece and onto your skin. If this is the case, a controlled, slow draw which is only strong enough to light up the LED is recommended.

This is definitely the most likely cause and it is very common. Mine do this often as I am horrid about overfilling my carts ;)
