Hi all, I have a battery question. I've got a Fog Log from Jeff, and running it now w/ two
Tenergy RCR123a 3.0v 900 mAH. The manufacturers website ( http://tinyurl.com/yag3jb4 ) and the amazon seller who sold them to me says they jump down to 3.0v when loaded. What bothers me is that they're only supposed to go to 3.2v fully charged from reading the spec, and they came in the box 2 at 3.74v and 2 at 3.83v. I'm vaping away like a fiend w/ Drew's HV juice and i seem to get 3-4 good pulls off 4 drops before it runs dry.

I've got a multimeter but not sure how I can test "loaded voltage". Has anybody already tested these to see if they really put out 3.0v? If not how do I do it? Do I need to drill a couple of holes in the atty or use some alligator clamps to make a bridge?

    Somewhere between here and there
I am not sure what a fog log is but somehow you would have to connect your meter to the positive and negative and take a draw. On a box mod you could just take the cover off and clip your leads to the pos and neg while taking a draw and watch the meter. I am not sure on the one you have.

those are particular batts, them tenergy 900s
i have them as well, what you have is a normal 3.7V batt that has a FET installed to it to drop the V, it takes 12mS for that to happen under load, with a DMM what you should get is 3.8~9V when fully charged and when it goes under 3.5V its dead. you do have a protection circuit on it so, your safe.
it will also take about 5 cycles for them to really start to work at their max mAh

one thing to know as well , these need a special charger that goes to 4.4V
(ultra/trust chargers only go to 4.2V orfor the 3V batts 3.6V)
never ever charge a ultra/ttrust in the tenergy charger or your bat will explode
the reason for the 4.4V is to compensate for the FET drain on the batt
