Not sure if this had been answered but I couldn't find it anywhere.
Today I received my Tenergy RCR123A 3v 750mAh LiFePO4 batts and charger. While waiting for them to charge I got tired of staring at the charger
so decided to read the packaging and noticed this on the back:
Important notes:
1. It is normal that new battery can not be charged to its rated capacity when it is being used for the first time. To reach full capacity, new batteries have to be charged and discharged 3 to 5 cycles.
2. batteries will self-discharge when not in use. It is recommended that you do not let battery sit idle for a long time before use.
#1 not a big deal but #2....
Questions are:
If I leave them in the BSB while not in use will it decrease the performance?
Also does any one have any idea on how long until the "self-discharge"?
Or does it begin as soon as you take them off the charger and happen slowly?
Thanks in advance
