I seems to have a problem with these batteries. Ive noticed these charge to 4.1v instead of the 3.6v cutoff that Tenergy advertises. So i had a few questions about them for someone who knows more about batteries than myself.

Is it the PH-123A-3.0 charger?

has anyone else noticed this?

should i keep using charger/batts or should i get a new charger/batts?
(not looking for a guarantee or anything like that just want to know others opinions)

Actually sounds normal. The voltage will drop off almost immediately after you start using them.

garyd is correct.

Lithium ion batteries usually have a higher voltage (unique for each battery) than its designed voltage.

It will also have a higher charge capacity than its designed charged capacity.

Both of these states will slowly drop at full charge after the've been through a few charge cycles.

This is called "surface charge" and is normal.

Note: A freshly charged battery will show a surface charge of 4.0 volts or more, on a nominal 3.6 volt rated battery. In fact, the voltage can frequently be tested after 30 minutes, only to discover the voltage has dropped to the nominal rating of 3.6 volts.
