There is a one second delay on the Tesla 120 watt box mod. It's checking the resistance of the atomizer and resetting the proper voltage every time you press the fire button. Then the ramp up / coil heating begins. ;)

My main in house vape, Tesla 120 watt (I have 2) in black loaded with Samsung INR's and Yep V1 RDA. Twisted 28 awg single coil 1.3 ohm @69 watts wick'd with cotton. :D

^---- what Rich said.

It's worth it...hit the button a brief second before you inhale, you'll get used to it and never notice.
BTW - ditto the 25r's, I swap between a Vulcan, a Tobh, and a Veritas... This thing has been dropped many times (once even off a 3.5 foot kitchen bar-type cabinet onto hardwood floors) and is still going strong. It's my daily ticket to Vapehalla :)

OHH.. in a thread about this mod, I should also say... I heard secondhand that the reverse polarity protection doesn't exist... A guy in my local b&m told me his buddy's bit the dust in a rather violent way instantly upon installing batteries backwards. Don't know if it's true or not (he'd been trying to sell me a Sigelei for weeks just before I showed up with my Tesla, so credibility is a bit iffy-) but it made me mark all my 25r's with a Sharpie. Just passing along, better safe than sorry!
