Test for PG versus VG?

I just acquired a quantity of 100mg/mL juice I ordered diluted w/ VG. It seems a little thinner than previous stuff I got.

Wondering if there is any chemical test, or other to determine if it is maybe PG.. Or is there a way to analyze to determine %PG %VG? (I saw the test for nicotine content, I will have to try that one..).

Thanks.

If you can't tell the difference and you like it, then you are in good shape and it doesn't matter what was in the original 100mg VG wise.

I'm sure it will be fine.

Sometimes vendors add water to the VG to help with the wicking of a carto or atty. I would say that your 100mg juice looked thinner because of this.

Was just checking my VG and it seems to have thicken up since last time, maybe it was on an unairconditioned truck... The purpose is not so much 'if I like it' the quantity is beyond the amount that I can smoke by myself and is intented to be shared with friends... I want to make sure I know what I have.

I did some research, and I am pretty confident it is VG. Those of you familiar with the DIY calculators, might have come across the notion that 1mg = 1mL, this is because even at 100mg/mL the density is driven by that of PG which = 1.036g/mL

However, the density of glycerin is higher at 1.261 g/mL. I just weighed 2mL while mixing up a fresh batch of cherry-cinnamon bomb, and it weighs 2.5g (on a scale with 0.1 g accuracy, so it is right in the range for glycerin and too heavy for PG. Although I will repeat this test since my volume measurement is not super accurate either...

Glycerine also has a boiling point of 290C versus 188C for PG... although I'm not too keen on boiling 100mg/mL nic fluid :)
