Hello all.
I'm familiar with testing the total ohms for a dual coil build but how does one test the resistance of each coil to ensure both coils are of equal resistance? I'm building dual coils on an atomizer with two posts.

That's hard to do and IMO not really necessary. Check the resistance between the posts. If you've made the coils with the same number of wraps, of the same inner diameter, used the same gauge wire and the tails are the same length, each coil will be very close to twice the resistance the meter shows you. If one coil is a few percent different from the other it really doesn't affect your vape much.

I've used a dual coil Trident a lot the last year. I once wrapped one coil with 8 wraps and one with 9 by mistake. I could see they were not the same when I dry fired them. The 9 wrap coil took noticeably longer to heat up than the 8 wrap. I was lazy, left them and vaped it. I was quite happy with the result.

If coil heat up time is about the same, they are pretty close to the same resistance.

Vape on :)
