I usually take one of my old cartos and remove the filler. Drip straight down the side of the cart and vape away.
Make sure if you use this method you have manual batteries! Easy to ruin an auto this way.

Get yourself two or three 901 atomizers which can be reused over and over. The threads are compatible with KR808D-1. You'll want a drip tip to keep your mouth away from the atty......any that fit a KR808D-1 will fit a 901 atty. Drip several drops of juice on the bridge (visible part sticking up inside atty) to make sure it is wet. You'll know by the taste if it isn't....just add more juice. If you flood it, it will gurgle. If that happens, just blow out the excess into a paper towel. Blow the atty out really well into a paper towel between flavors when you are testing. You'll get a little flavor "overlap" this way. Since I only use cartomizers for everyday vaping, I always clean my atty right after flavor testing. There are a zillion ways to do it, but I just soak mine in vodka really well, rinse them with water well, and let them dry. Good luck!

For use on standard KR808's, would you recommend LR or standard resistance atties? I think I would like to try this.
I've tried emptying out the carto. It works, but I think I would like to try out the atty idea. I will have to start keeping my eyes open for one.
Standard is what I use...... and really, I'm not very knowledgeable about atties; I just read somewhere that the standard would be best on the KR808D-1.

Made my own dripper out of an old cart that I accidentally blew the stuffing out of. I started out just wanting to see how the guts were set up...
I used a dremmel to cut the tube of the carto about 7/16" from the threaded end. Satisfied with knowing what the atty looked like (and hating to throw something USABLE away, lol), I decided to make a dripper. Found a suitable diameter plastic tube and popped it over the threaded end. Drilled two small holes in the plastic for ventilation and plugged the center hole from the bottom with a small section of "condom-post." Using the rest of the tube as the mouth piece, it can also be slid up and down to cover the drilled holes to regulate the airflow. Hits like a champ! Oh, plugging the center hole helps keep fluid from getting all over if I overfill it or use a very thin fluid.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that the section of plastic was from a fatty ball-point pen and the entire carto is barely longer than a standard cart. On hindsight, it would be easier to just gut the stuffing from a standard carto and drip that way - like what was mentioned earlier.

This is a good idea and it CAN work but it depends how new your KD808d-1 batteries are. I have done this is the past many times, and it has ALWAYS worked using a 901 atty on a KD808 battery. But the new batteries block the air hole. I got some new KR808d-1 batteries from V4L and myvaporstore.com and The atty no longer work. I thought maybe there was something wrong with the atty. I emailed MVS and they told me that the new KR808 batteries dont works with 901 atty's anymore. Then I did some research on here and it seems now others are having this problem too. Of course the threads are still the same but you just cant get and draw through the atty now on the new batteries.
Solution to this..........buy a [DSE901/KR808d-1] to joye 501 adapter and use a 510 atty instead. It will work and have done this on new batteries and old ones.
Or just buy a $12 DSE901 or 510 passthough and use that with an atty to test your juices. I have done this too
OR......you can turn a old worn out carto into an atomizer by pulling out the polly fill. Here is a video on how to do it

Or, just buy a 901-kr808 adaptor for your batts, if you really like 901 attys. I ran into same problem with 901atty not firing on newer V4L batts and this little adaptor solved the problem.
I have never seen a 901 to KR808 adapter. post a link to one you have and were you got it please

thanks man, never seen one of those before. I was getting mad my 901 atty's didnt fit the new KR8908 batteries anymore. I use attys to drip not taste new flavors though. Its so hard to get a flavor out of an atty sometimes. and the atty's are like $7 each. I can buy 5 cartos for that price. Really if you think about it. it only costs you $1 or to try a new juice on a carto. I guess I could de-bridge an atty. then it would have no mesh or wick in it and I would have no flavor carry over. YA thats a good idea thats what I will do LOL
I'll second (or third or fourth) the use of 901 atties to test juice on! Test it, rinse it out, test something else, rinse it out, and so on. Works great.
I use 901 atties from Vapor Kings. No problem with airflow, even on protected 808s, because they have a little air hole drilled in the side... and they last for a long time. I do use an 808 to 901 adapter, as well. It's not always necessary, but I've run into a few 808 bats and cartos that won't play well together and that adapter solves the problem every time.
As for LR cartos... I've had a hit or miss experience with them. On my VGo bat they don't work at all. Fires a second or two and then cuts out. On the original Kanger and V4L bats it works, but the flavor of your juices is very different. Success with AVE's Hype and VKs Jeremy's Black Tea Blend. Everything else was horrid. Unfortunately, with a LR carto you'd just have to experiment, which could get costly.

Just a follow-up: I have manual batteries purchased in late March (V4L) and in May (LiteCig) that work well with the 901 atty (also purchased at LiteCig); no blockage problems at all. I wonder if it's the atty itself in this case, as there have also been problems with cartomizers getting air flow...
Ya I figured it out, just bent down the connection on the bottom of the atty a little and it fires now. The draw problem was just the air holes on my old atty were getting gunked up I cleaned all is good now thanks
I just got 2 901 attys from nHaler, standard resistance. I added them to an order just to see if they would work on my KR8's for testing juices. They both work just fine (although a tight draw, but I like that). Both screwed on to my iGo batts and my V4L xl manuals and my new King Diamond v2. It worked on all of them but I only took one draw on the KD v2 since it's an auto batt.
