Hi all, good morning!!

Bare with me, I'm almost 4 weeks into vaping but still have much to learn. I have a question please...

I have V4L batts, manual and auto, shorties XL diamond steath (no regular). I know V4L has some new gear in the works, but I can't wait for them, I need a fix/solution now. I am wanting to to add another model's atomizer and drip tip for testing new juices.

What exactly do I need to get and from where would you recommend I get it ??

TIA :)

You can also get adapters to go from KR808D-1 connections (V4L batts) to any other connection type at 901/808D Battery to 510 Atomizer adapter pretty cheaply. 510 connection is the most widely used connection type, so finding a cheap 510 atty for drip testing new juices will be easier than trying to find cheap 901 atties since more suppliers sell 510 ones.

Because you are using V4L batts, I suggest getting a LR 510 atty and an adapter. I also suggest using your manual batteries when you do this, since you won't mess them up by accidentally having juice drip into them.

Juices test better on a 901 than a lr 510.The lr 510 overheats the juice.

I prefer the lr 510 because it will get hotter faster. Maybe that's because what I look for when testing juices is vapor production with a short draw. I have found I'm much more satisfied with a good 2-3 second draw than I am trying to get a 7-8 second draw to get the same amount of vapor.

I might be biased....but I have yet to try an atty that I liked. To me the carts just taste better and have a warmer throat hit.

The only reason I have an atty is to try out a bunch of new juices back to back without having to use 30-40 drops filling a new carto and then finding out I might not like the juice. Just drip 2-3 drops into an atty, take a puff or two, then drip something else.

Of course...you could always just make a 808 atty for dripping....however it will take at least 30 seconds and an investment in some rather unique tooling. But if you are willing to spend the time and money you can try these 2 methods to make a drip-style 808 atty.

Equipment Needed:
1 Tweezers or needle nose pliers
Jumbo Paperclip or Large Sewing Needle
1 V4L Cartomizer (Wow or Cool Cart)

Fold out a Jumbo Paperclip or take a large sewing needle and insert it between the wick tube and the polyfill material and apply pressure to the polyfill pushing it towards the inside wall of the carto housing in a back and forth motion for about a minute.

This will break the polyfill material away from the wicking tube, then carefully remove with the tweezers. It's similar to removing all the Papertowels from the inner cardboard dowel. This will leave the wicking tube and wicking material in place.........your own custom 808 atty for dripping.

A quicker method:
Grab the polyfill material with a pair of needle nose pliers and in forceful pull, remove the polyfill material. Just make sure you grab the opposing end form where the ground wire is located....this method works about 60% of the time. However, it does fail and when it does you end up yanking out the atomizer....hehehe.

Perhaps I should just do a video on this....

Kay, here's where I get mine. Cheap. Cheap shipping, too. I ordered three (backups) and am still on my first one. Get the regular ones, not low resistance. No adaptor needed and the V4L drip tips fit nicely. Make sure to only test flavors like this on a manual battery.

DSE-901 Atomizers

Thanks Lisa! Now I just need to find a coupon code. ;)

Lisa ~ I also found these in a bulk pkg of 10. Good price & reviews. Just fyi.

DSE 901 Attys (Bulk Pkg)

(edited to add: I looked on their sub-form and the bulk 901's are SLB or SBL...whatever it goes by.)

Chad ~ I'm not wanting to use 1ml of juice and fill a clean cart to test new flavors. After I decide if I like a new flavor...I will fill a cart and return to my regularly scheduled vaping. :vapor:
