I went to my Chevy dealer last week and they had a Keurig in the waiting area. I tried a Green Mountain brand and it was the nastiest coffee that I have ever tasted! It was that bad! It kind of reminded me of the coffee that I had in Jamaica (shudder). It was STRONG but it was also just bad tasting. Kind of like strong but the type of strong you get from letting coffee sit on the burner all day. I got way past ever wanting a Keurig :)

Pad, I have never heard of a mod making a draw airy or tight lol That is normally more to do with the carto/atty that you use.

I spent all day with my mom taking her shopping and I am wiped out. I will try and make it back later though.

I guess it is the cartos, but I only use one type and they work fine on a Riva and the Ego twist. I just felt like I got too much air mixed with the vapor on the E Power.

Just one K cup and you are done with a Keurig Salem? you are missing out on the 200 other flavors they got!
I guess they are like vaping, they are not for everyone!

Personally I couldn't do without one now! We even pack it up and bring on vacation with us if possible!

Twice now, hubs has used our keurig points (online) to ship small keurig machines to the people we're going to visit, so that he can be sure to enjoy his coffee while at their house. Want a single cup brewer & a stash of coffee? Invite him to visit you for a week!!

I was going to get some of that because that is the one Costco carries but maybe I will hold off!

TV, that is funny about sending machines out! I may have to remember that one. I am building points!

THAT is the one hubs drinks! It IS awful IMO. When you come to visit me Salem, I'll let you try some of the GOOD ones!

I looked at the different flavors and some do look good. Honestly I just was not expecting the one I tried to taste that bad. I may still one day get a Keurig though. But, I will have to try a few more flavors first lol

Just invite MR TV to visit a few times a year and before you know it, you will have a nice collection to travel around with lol

The BEST coffee that I have ever had was when my DH was in the hospital. The ICU waiting room had a machine that used bags of liquid coffee that went into a funky machine. It was a European coffee and maker and if I could find one, I would buy it in a heart beat :)

Pad, you might like that coffee  It truly tasted like it had been brewed about 12 hours before I got it and was left on the burner the entire time. I think that a spoon would have stood by itself in that cup.

The liquid coffee concentrate that I make for my iced coffees is probably similar. Apparently, when you cold brew coffee & use the liquid for hot or iced coffees (mixed with water) it filters out most of the acids and makes for a smooth tasty drink. I have only used it cold, but I need to try it hot. As if Techno really NEEDS more caffeine...
Also, on an unrelated note...Costco tricked our state's voters into agreeing to close down all the state liquor stores and now all the booze is in Grocery stores & drug stores and everywhere...and the price has tripled...sheesh. Guess I'll be dry for awhile!!

I can just hear it now:
Knock Knock,,, we're here. Uh, did you get that Keurig machine?
Well, Uh, yea,,, but I didn't need it so I sold it on E-Bay.

I wouldn't doubt it!!
They're so expensive! I've seen used ones at the thrift shop for $99!
With our points, they're less than half price though. We have a good one, plus one in storage "just in case" it breaks.LOL

It might be close! This was in gallon bags (industrial sized) but it was extremely smooth.

After DH got out of the hospital, we would stop by there and get coffee lol

The price is what holds me back. Not only on the machine but for the Kcups. I don't need another addiction lol

My condolences TV. Just so you know, you can make your fine libations go further by cutting them with Lizard-ade.
