I wish i had a Good story for the injury, BUT NOOOOOOOOOO. June 1st my wife and i flew down to Charlotte for our grand-daughters graduation from kindergarten. As i stood up on the airplane to move into the aisle, i had to bend over because of the overhead. As i took a step my knee moved in a direction it isn't supposed to, left. I saw the Ortho doc this week and he ordered an MRI but i have to go through the insurance two-step to get it approved. He said the knee was "loosey goosey" and he saw a hairline fracture just below he knee on the xray. That blasted brace is $800 dollars itself.

Loosey goosey - don't you just love medical lingo? That's what you get for all your hard earned money, lol.

An $800 brace, a fracture and a MRI pending - with hopefully only good news as this is more than enough of the other.

Nothing like dealing with insurance companies, either. And all for a "mis-step"; funny how such little things become such big things, sigh.

This is the same Dr that did my shoulder and elbow surgeries, he is a total trip and a great surgeon. A simple little mis-step and all this crud.

It is really good to already know that he is a great surgeon - and I, myself, prefer the ones who are that and have some humor about them, a touch quirky, even, in a good way. Much better than the prima donnas of the OR - more relaxing and good for peace of mind, soul and body.

I am glad for you in that respect, Oly.

Thanks. Yeah i really do prefer Doc like him. When i had my shoulder surgery i talked to someone that worked for another Ortho surgeon and when i told her his name she told me he was one of the best in the state.

I could have fixed you up for three dollars with some horse ointment and just an old rag wrapped around yer leg bone and had you loosey goosey in no time! Loosey goosey is a medical term us leg bone specialists use.
