Well TT I live in a Village. The last time I cared to look at one of the signs it said around 9000 or so folks. The downtown consists of 3 bars, a ice cream place, a hair salon, a flower shop and a sleezy motel. The older houses are now rentals and it looks run down. The village is celebrating 100 years this month. I really want to go to a village meeting and tell them they need to use my tax money more wisely. Instead of building trendy parks for the kids. (They have too many already.) They need to tear down about a mile of the " village ruins".

Hi again cathomp! Cathomp, meet SecondChance, an old friend of ours around here.

Goodnight salem and jj2. And jj2, I might be getting close to 71 but I swear, if you saw me you'd think I was in my mid-50's. I never got any gray hair or wrinkles. Of course this makes my wife as mad as hell. She got it all!!! Bwaahahahah!!!

SecondChance, I worked so hard and lots of hours a day seven days a week and didn't think I would ever be able to retire. I was just used to running all over the globe too much and really enjoyed working. In fact, it took me three tries to retire, but I finally managed to do it and now I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Its fun. Even more so when my wife takes a trip like she's on now!!

Not trying to outdo anyone, but up in town at the Post Office, there really are some chickens that roost on the handrail outside the office.

Makes me mad because that rail is there for us old people to hang on to not for chickens to roost on.

But you know, those chickens just don't seem to care!!

TT

Sheesh, I wish WE had chickens in our town square. We have sea gulls instead, and they poo on everything they can. Especially Jeeps. My husband calls them rats with wings!

LOL, Sdh, if they tore down the village ruins in our town the town would be gone.

There was a big brick building not too far from the railroad tracks that run through town and the building fell down one day while the train was going by. There was nobody in it. But those little earthquakes we had around here a while back terrified some of the people who live or work in those old brick buildings!

Can't say I blame them!
