(((((((Oly)))))))))...so very sorry to hear that it's the ACL and the torture treatments you have ahead of you. :( Hugs and positive thoughts sent your way, as always.

Glad to see business is booming, kgj. More interest, more revenue...we've got some work to do with these peeps, I think...maybe a chance for more exposure? Corporate sponsorship? Some TV advertising - that's Jerry's department, isn't it? I get confused with all the abbreviations.

Of course, the town of the same name is in NC.

We're going to have to get Tink more involved with the business...she might have connections up that way. As always, it's not so much what you know as much as who you know.

I love it in the middle of July when they have the Old Timers Festival here.

Its usually about 110 degrees then and 95% humidity. I've told you before that they lose two or three old times during that festival.

That's why I never go to it.

They do put on a show though, carnival rides and eleven dollar hamburgers for the kids and a bunch of people up on stage singing that you wish would get the hell off the stage and quit that dang singing.

TT

My best read and laugh of the night, TT.

So true, very, very true - BTDT (been there done that ;))

The best stories always are always the true ones, though, aren't they?

Good Morning FranC, Gummy Beat and sweet Pokey!

and anybody else that shows up!

We had a little more rain yesterday and today is supposed to be about the same, And that's just fine! We'll take all of that rain that we can get! I love to see things wet and growing.

LOL, yeah Pokey, I never could figure out why they have Old Timers Day here at the hottest time of the year! They have a parade and the school girls do their cheerleading, people on horses and old cars and its nice waving to everybody you know ... but its just too hot for the Old Timers. They should have it in the spring or fall when the weather is nicer.

This heat and humidity here is something else. I know South Carolina has it too so you know exactly what I'm talking about.

And salem, if you pop in here ... I'll be real careful on the tractor. I'm just going to pick plums from it and I will carry my WalMart cell phone and we have a strong signal here. The plums are looking real good this year thanks to the rain, but I have to get them before they get on the ground or the deer and varmints will eat them. I'll take some sacks of plums around to some of the old people around here. They like them because they can eat them without having to put in their teeth.

Oh, and to all of you guys going to work today ..... just remember ... its Friday bwaahahaha and after today you might get two days off. Then go do it again.

I don't have to any more.

Sorry to hear about the torn ACL Oly!
I truly think it is not a surgery that you need to have done if your activity level is starting to wind down. Now if you still played sports or did a lot of strenuous hiking, that's a different story. The surgery was horrible for my daughter and she had to do it twice. She was much younger so they recommended this for her. She was 16 on the first and 17 on the second.

I am pretty sure the pain will go away soon and then you will just have an unstable knee. People used to have this all the time.

TT, I guess with the Mrs gone you have to get your full set of armaments out for protection! all your pistols, revolvers, rifles, semi automatics, full automatics and shotguns! Do you have shotguns? I have heard you speak of some of your weaponry, but I can't recall if you spoke of shotguns!

Crazy thing! I had a lot of backreading to do!

Morning all. Yeah, Padre. That darn SC sure can talk so I know what you mean about the back reading. The man just pops in from nowhere and starts babbling away. I thought that I would never get to bed

On my way out the door to take my mom shopping for the day. I hope that everyone has a great Friday!

TT, I feel much better knowing that you will have a phone with a signal out there on the tractor

Thanks Padre, I don't want the big surgery so I was glad to hear that he didn't recommend that. This is the same Dr/Surgeon that did my shoulder and elbow so i really trust him. I am not looking forward to the PT, i hurt enough as it is now.

Just do what I do when I go to the dentist. Take a big pair of channel locks with you. Just before he starts, grab his privates with the channel locks and say,,, Now we're not going to hurt each other, are we? Works every time.

Hi Everybody!! I've had my little nap and I'm finally up ... for a while!

Hey Padre, yeah, I have several shotguns but I think my favorite is a Mossburg 12 ga. with the short barrel.

Oh, and I saw a doe with a young fawn today out by the pond in the front part of our yard! Pretty things. I had knocked some plums out of the trees when I was picking them today and I think that's where they were headed.

Been kind of a quiet, easy day ... mainly quiet with Mrs TT gone. She did call me though and says the cabin they are staying at is beautiful and they were on their way to dig for crystals. They had all gone by this morning to visit with her cousin. The guys is in pretty bad shape. He has COPD real bad and is on oxygen all the time.

Its sad, he was a cop in Arkansas, a bug hulking kind of guy, now he's all shriveled up, skinny and my wife says he has a gray coloring. He wants to come to our place really bad ... I hope he can. He loves sitting out on our porch just looking and watching.

I hope all of us have quit smoking in time to avoid this kind of an ending.

TT
