I'm about ready to hit the hay, so to speak...but hubs just "reminded" me for the first time that I have to bring a dessert to a potluck family dinner tomorrow...and it can't be chocolate cake. What??? That is the best thing I make!! I guess the host doesn't like chocolate. Harumfff. So, I'm perusing the internet for an idea for a quick dessert that I can whip up tomorrow.
Sheesh. It just might be a "Sara Lee" cake from the freezer section of the grocery store!

Geez. I could have given you the recipe for my dump cake. Always a hit, easy to make.

I love dump cake too! I make a mean cake from the back of the Hershey's cocoa box usually. I might make Paula Deen's banana pudding again. It was pretty amazing.

Oh, I have DHs memaws real southern banana pudding recipe. No box pudding here lol I am so hungry and you are killing me here lol It is the meds. I already ate a quart of cottage cheese and 2 yogurts! I want SUGAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HA!

Sounds like my OLD betty crocker cook book. It's from the 20's or 30's or something & calls for things like lard & stuff I've never heard of in the recipes.

I keep a box of tapioca on hand to whip up home made pudding on nights that I'm craving chocolate. Yummmmmm...Now I'm hungry too!

I see that! I was so bored one night that I made many good trades in PIF. I got a mini LT that I hope my mom will try. I got an HH.357 atty. Some flavoring and some 3 ml bottles! So much better to trade than have to buy.

I saw that in the comments, and I always use cherry pie filling in my chocolate dump cake, so that's what I'll probably pick up tomorrow. Thanks for the idea. I am excited to make it !
