Depends. Mostly, I'm pretty indifferent to them, but if someone uses one that I find borderline offensive I tend to be leery of him/her.

Oh yes, I agree completely. It doesn't matter who they are or how long they've been around. If their going to treat people in an ignorant manner they don't deserve anyone's respect or attention!

Geez, I don't know about salem, but I can't remember what I had for breakfast let alone my exact join date on ECF.

That's one nice thing about being old.

I have to agree ... up to a point.

Sarge's avvie is intimidating and that's exactly why he/she uses it.

And there are hundreds upon hundreds of funny, cute, pretty, interesting avvies, but I doubt if that influences men very much. My guess would be the Join Date, Post Count, grammar, spelling, ect., would have more of an influence on people than anything else.

No. If a member posts asking for help to learn something and I have that knowledge to share, I share it without consideration of their avi, gender, post count, grammar, spelling, etc. It is being a good human being and treating others the way that I want to be treated IMO.
