My first love was always archery and I normally did pretty well in competitions and at hunting.

But, old age kinda caught up with me and it got to where I couldn't pull the bowstring without a lot of pain, so I gave all my gear to one of my sons who wanted it. That boy left here with a carload of archery gear, good stuff too.

Buddy of mine is a bow hunter. Had a ticket for an oryx this year, but didn't get one.

You're in the right part of New Mexico for hunting oryx.

They sure are beautiful animals. I think they have some in the Big Hatchet Mountain area south of Hatchita, but I never did see one.
