I do too, Fran. Have fed and read about them for years...and noted, as Salem mentioned, how they do return from year to year. I have recognized a few by their singular "imperfections" and am always happy to see them.
I used to participate in the tracking of their return each spring - a website that documented their migration upward from South America to here and all the way to Canada.
Only the Ruby-throats here, though. So many amazing species around the country, the world, though. They are all incredible and amazing little creatures for certain.
We do get the rare visitors that are not normally found here. Sometimes they get a little off course. When i lived in Charleston, tropical storms and the like would bring types other than the Rubys into SC.
