Guys I could use a hug. I just got home from town and Toto had died. Don found him on the porch when he went to let him in after letting him out to go. Misty our toy poodle was dead when we got up 3 weeks ago today, and can't even talk about what happened to her. I have had such a time over her going. Think it was kinda of like the straw that broke the camel's back after all the medical issues. Now Toto!

I know that the most important thing in our lives at the moment that they seemingly got Don's colon cancer, and he does not have throat cancer. That the gene testing came back that it would not increase his odds that much for not having a recurrence to have chemo at this time. So much to be thank for and all the prayers and support. But, I am so going to miss Misty and Toto.

This is why I don't keep a dog around anymore. They say you can't take it with you; well, Lady did. She wrapped her paws around a hunk of my heart. When a car struck her, she took that piece of my 8 year-old self along with her. She still has it.

Toto has a piece of you that you'll never get back, and the hole within you won't close—and I'm truly sorry for that; there are certain people you encounter in life that are less deserving of pain by any sort than others.

In the end, what Lady took from me and Toto from you will be outweighed by what they gave us in our 15 minutes of life on this Earth.

Good morning gang. I guess TT is well on his way and I have began loading the suv and will be heading out tomorrow morning.
